Christmas TV 2020

The fact that Marv looks like Harry in Home Alone 4 tells you all you need to know about how much they cared about their source material.

Home Alone 2 is on Disney+ as well so I don't see how only one of them would be exclusive.

Nick Hewer quits Countdown

Not to sound too blunt, but good riddance. It probably isn't helped by the energy generated by the Cats team in comparison, but with Nick at the helm I've found Countdown to be as entertaining as a blob of chewing gum on the back of a bus seat.

The Woodpecker video has blown my mind. I always used to watch wondering if it was CG because of how the foreground 2s animated. Once I saw the set I thought, "well go figure, it was real." Not only real, but stop motion?? I like that ident even more now. I always have a soft spot for real creativity and craftsmanship.

BBC iPlayer

There is a revival coming of Fresh Prince. It’s going to be more of a drama instead of a comedy.

It may be on BBC2, but may not be.

NBC picked it up for Peacock. I can only assume based on that, that Sky will have first dibs.

BBC iPlayer

I hope it finds its way to this country. I managed to watch it "somehow" and thought it was brilliant. A lovely tribute to James Avery and a very moving reunion with a somewhat controversial cast member.

Spitting Image to return on BritBox

I found it started to decline after the election special. As mentioned earlier on, the celebrity sketches don't really work all that well, and they seem to rely on them more than the politicians. Targets like Elon Musk and Billie Eilish just seem like such unusual choices, and I don't really understand why Elton John has been so prominent. Jürgen Klopp was a personal favourite though, his relentless positivity was a joy to watch.

Smtv Live reunion

It'd be the perfect slot for a special one-off edition, not so sure about a retrospective documentary though.

Wheel of Fortune to return?

Jenny Powell teasing an announcement on her Twitter page. Perhaps she’s returning to spin the letter board?

Do they even need a letter spinner nowadays? Isn't it all electronic now?
