Bradby at Ten

The standard says the revamp will be next week- "Next week the programme sees its title credits and famous bongs overhauled — “More of Big Ben’s face,” explains an ITV source, “a nod to the News at Ten of old, our heritage”. There will also be what Bradby calls a “refreshed set” — the catwalk backdrop for Peston and Stratton (who arrives next month), as well as Bradby’s existing “dynamic” team."

Whilst on the other hand the RadioTimes says- "there will be a new on-air look in spring".
Can someone confirm when the refresh will officially be introduced?

That is quite a new idea which i agree worked well, as well as this the original 2014 coming up bed was used rather than the 2015 bed. And they have also started using that upbeat piano and strings bed again. Also the into break transitions look much better since they've reinstated the studio swipe with the cameras.

Hopefully the issues with the size of the desk and the number of people at it will be looked at.

Also, it would be nice to see Charlotte/whoever is the newsreader being given a larger role, such as doing one to one interviews. Although I can't imagine Piers will want to spend much time out of sight.

They usually make cosmetic changes each year. It would be nice to see a new theme again and hopefully a new desk. Next thing we know we might see the red sofa make a return Wink

I didn't see the programme, but from watching that clip it did seem awkward with her just staring at Charlotte, and even when Ranvir smiled at her awkwardly she didn't smile back. By the way who was presenting today?

This is brilliant, you should possibly consider adding more to this. Maybe a graphics package to follow and so on, if GMTV was still going today i bet it would have looked something similar to this. Keep up the good work Thumbs up

Well I hope that music is for a 2016 refresh because I remember hearing it for the first time and really liking it. Bit different to the previous theme tunes and it definitely fits with the Entertainment one more.


Does Good Morning Britain really need another refresh?

The programme must have a reason on introducing new music beds and stings and it can't be on a random decision. They have been playing about with graphics and music for quite sometime now and they must be looking in to making further changes for the new year.

I liked how they joked on about it actually. I found this morning's episode very interesting and personally I liked the flexibility that having 4 main presenters brought to the show. Different "sets" of presenters could do different parts and I generally thought it worked quite well apart from the fact that it felt far less "professional". Would like to see all of them there again actually.

That is how the show started off though, it didn't work full time.

It was a different "style" of having 4 presenters though, this was 4 main presenters and Ranvir (don't know what Sean actually gets to do anymore as don't see before 7). The launch format was 2 main presenters, a newsreader and a sports reader


It was a change, also no one has mentioned they went to the desk for the 8am intro.

Good Morning Britain - 2015 Refresh/Tweaks

All this week following the weather at half past the hour there is no longer a bottom of the hour sting. Instead Susanna just introduces "Your watching Good morning britain, it's time to get the news with Charlotte". It looks like they've dropped the sting and coming up sequence at 7:30 altogether. Anyone else noticed this?

I have to say I think the christmas trees this year looked better than last year's trees. They've also moved the sofa back to the position it was in 2014 which looks better. Does anyone have photos or clips of the set decorated up?
