Did you know that they're TV's first gay couple on a programme?
Move along Richard and Judy
Well, finally a highlight for The Netherlands: several gay couples who won the popular 'Love Letters' game show have been legally married LIVE on public television lately.

No.
Wouldn't it be better if the BBC actually thought up some new and inovative ideas to fill the morning schedule?

Erm... Do these 'scottish blokes' have a love relationship together? It rather looks like that to me: they're always so kind and sweet to each other.

Has mr. Kilroy-Silk been in negative publicity before or is this the first time?

George Allagiah told me the news after a Father Dowling mystery... Although I'm a foreigner, I do know the Kilroy programme. Pretty good format actually for daytime television. It doesn't cost a lot of money either I think (except maybe for the salary of the presenter). It's a whole lot better than all those homeshopping programmes, call-in games and repeats.Has mr. And now: it happened again: with George Alagiah on The Ten on BBC One. Take a look!
Why is this?
BBC News lighting
It has happened again! A few weeks ago I noticed that Huw Edwards' face was darker than usual because of the lighting in the studio. Some people suggested I had to adjust my TV-settings, others said there was nothing wrong. Non of it was trueAnd now: it happened again: with George Alagiah on The Ten on BBC One. Take a look!

So, maybe someone else could? Just brief?
BBC Four News Re-launch
intheknow, could you, or anyone else, explain what a 'washed out screen' is? As I am a foreigner I don't quite understand. The words have been used many times, especially in the BBC News 24 relaunch thread, but my dictionary doesn't seem to get it! I have an idea about what a 'washed out screen' could mean and I've seen pictures of the one from News 24, but I'm not sure and I don't know how to explain. So, maybe someone else could? Just brief?

And I think this is good: there are few news programmes like The World and over here [The Netherlands] we haven't one at all.
BBC Four News Re-launch
Mark has a good point: BBC Four News is not a programme which brings you up to date from everything that is happening in the world. You watch The World for in-depth analysis about the main stories or important issues we may forget but may be an upcoming issue. And I think this is good: there are few news programmes like The World and over here [The Netherlands] we haven't one at all.

The green color quite looks like the one which is used in the Dutch current affairs programme 'NOVA' in the late evening (if you're interested, you might like to have a look on www.novatv.nl and watch a video from them. Mostly you'll see the studio environment first before a report will be aired.) Besides the fact that BBC Four News is an extraordinarily program, it might be an upcoming trend to use green colors on current affairs programmes. But I'm not an expert in that.
It's difficult to say what I like most: the orange and black or the new green and white. The green and white has something refreshing yet reliable in the same time. Still, I do like the appearence of the (previous) BBC Four News globe on the title strap rather than just the green right-angle/square they use now, because it looked more detailed (which refers to the detailed content of the programme).
All in all the changes have a positive effect I think, especially to the distinctive image of BBC Four News. At least, I certainly would like to present in such environment!
BBC Four News Re-launch
The BBC certainly succeeded to maintain BBC Four News totally different then all other news programmes. I quite like the format: in depth news presented in a half hour bulletin. Although, I think thirty minutes is a little too short for an analyzing news format like this. I refer to Channel 4 News which lasts fifty-five minutes. The green color quite looks like the one which is used in the Dutch current affairs programme 'NOVA' in the late evening (if you're interested, you might like to have a look on www.novatv.nl and watch a video from them.
