I tuned in at about ten thirty to see News 24 on BBC One, I Know there is a scheduled news special at noon on BBC One. Does anybody know what time this programme began and if it broke into a programme or into a programme junction


The gun battle started about 10:05am, so I would imagine it was a short time after.

I think only CNN and ocassionally NBC have correspondents in Moscow.

IIRC, during the Moscow theatre siege, only CNN had a correspondent in the Russian capital. One ABC reporter had to be flown from LA... upon asking why, he was told he was ''the nearest ABC person to the story''.

Reassuring.
