I assume Colleen was also busy too, I'm surprised they don't have guest anchors from time to time like they do with guest panellists.

Kate Garraway has anchored the show a few times, unsure why they don’t use her.

It clashes with her radio job.

Christine did both Lorraine and Loose Women today, must be the first time that's ever happened and during the summer.

I'm pretty sure Kate did it before.
Seperately back in the GMTV era she once did GMTV Newshour, Lorraine/ LK Today and This Morning in the one day.
Leading Phil to joke on This Morning that if she pushed herself more she could also fit in Loose Women and the Lunchtime News.

Kate has done it before Cando! She has sporadically guest presented over the years.

She last presented back in 2017 when she presented the show twice over the Summer Holidays and on the 30th November 2017 - filling in for Andrea McLean as she was getting married.

Ben Shepherd's back hosting tomorrow alongside Jenni Falconer. Didn't they use to host some Entertainment show on GMTV?

This Morning

The Lambie Nairn this morning titles were more flexible because they could just change the picture of who was presenting.

Now they have to chop the titles up and cut Holly and Phil out (and even zoom into a taxi window at one point) which looks really awful. This is what happens when you don't keep it simple.

Which year did Lambie Nairn create the titles?

It was September 2009 when the show returned with Ruth and Eamonn - before Holly made her official debut in mid-September.

After the Kim Woodburn fiasco, it's likely they decided it was safer to have two weeks of prerecorded episodes for August.

I'd imagine it's so the panel can have two weeks of the summer to be with their families, so they can come back live and refreshed for the start of September's new season. That's probably what I imagine.

Watch out for a different line-up tomorrow. Ruth has had a close bereavement and will be away for some time.

I wonder if Eamonn will present with someone else or if they'll replace both?

I've read, acc. to The Sun online, that Eamonn will present the show tomorrow and will pay tribute to his sister-in-law / Ruth's sister Julia, who has died. The article doesn't say if it is on his own or whether someone will stand in for Ruth (eg: Rochelle or Holly).

Sunday Live V4

It’s a real shame getting a low rating. I’d be interested to know what I can improve on?

It's one of those Marmite-esque ideas - that has promise but at the moment, the description and execution of it is iffy and meh.

Personally, if I saw a show with Mel Giedroyc and Emma Willis presenting, I'd quite happily run into a wall at high speed and head first or take a tranquilizer (a little drastic but hey I'm known for doing stupid things in real life). On a serious note, I'd change your main presenter to say JUST ONE who had handle the format - one viewers like and can handle the light and shade well (ie Aled Jones or perhaps Emma Willis as a standalone).

Let's start with the titles/logo and theme. I'd make the titles a little more snappier and more viewer engaging - and the theme too. The title screen/logo needs an overhaul: perhaps a Serif Sans font - and all on one level (ie: 'Sunday LIVE or Weekend LIVE) - and the background a lighter colour: pastel colours as an example. Perhaps the last shot of the titles, TRANSITION to the logo reveal THEN transition shot to STUDIO/PRESENTER. A more smoother opener IMO.

Format wise - a one hour/90 minutes show:
- Emma Willis or Aled Jones (as he seems suited to the 'Weekend' series he did for ITV) / or Eamonn and Ruth (if you go TWO)
- Discussion: Paper Review or the week's Hot Topics - with a panel (say THREE others) Segment One
- Real-Life Hot Topic (True Life feature) or Celebrity Interview Segment Two
- Showbiz w/ (whoever who put in here) / VT about an issue/celebrity, etc. Segment Three
- Second Celebrity Interview / Band Interview / Political Figure / Show Launches A Campaign, etc Segment Four
- Cookery with Simon Rimmer or Phil Vickery or James Martin Segment Five
- Band Interview and Live Performance / Celebrity Interview / True Life Segment Segment Six

That would be my preferred schedule - and plus, the segments are flexible so the topics can be moved around!

Hope my suggestions have helped with the execution of the show. Perhaps these can help.
