Reminiscent of Sky News Centre
The other thing is the size of the lower thirds, but I understand it's just the style of your design. I always try to keep L3s to a certain size really - but I suppose it's just personal opinion. I suppose compared to the current L3s they're about the same, just one block as opposed to the white bar underneath the ticker.
Just for the sake of it..
Notice a certain returning logo.
I hate the branding. Hate it. From the name - whoever thought of that, to the awful Dickinson's Real Deal music and the graphics.
We had a money matters segment, followed by a Channel 4 News update, which I kind of feel is where they should focus the rest of the show to, playing to Steph's strengths. It feels strange to bring someone in from BBC News to get them hosting a celebrity chat show. Especially when said celebrities are Keith Lemon and Anton du Beke on Skype. (I'm not suggesting they should have been there in person by the way, just that Skype makes it feel even more awful.)
Dare I say, I feel they should have modeled the show on the ill-fated Megyn Kelly Today in the U.S. More news and human interest focused, with consumer segments, but geared as a daytime TV show.
EDIT: I'd like to add that I understand the show was rushed on air incredibly quickly, but surely they're matching the content for what they had in mind for the eventual launch?
Therefore maybe Susanna will start at 6, with Piers joining at 6.30 and Lorraine replacing Susanna at 9.
It does seem Piers and Charlotte are sat closer together this morning so maybe they've measured it out so that the newsreader would have room to sit at the end of the desk.
Charlotte could even sit at the 6am desk Penny Smith style, although she'd then just be sat in the corner of the studio for a couple of minutes of the show, which is quite a lot less prominence than she has sat at the desk.
According to GMB’s Facebook, Lorraine will be joined by Piers.
Quote:ITV said that from Monday an extended version of Good Morning Britain will air from 6am until 10am and feature Charlotte Hawkins as co-host until 9am, with Lorraine Kelly joining Piers Morgan for the remainder of the programme.
Wouldn't that put GMB off air? unless they decide to film in a remote location.
GMB from Grays Inn Road might be interesting, if that were to happen.
ABC, CBS and NBC are all live from 8-11pm ET (1-4am UK). As usual, the cable news channels are starting their coverage earlier - CNN is starting at 4pm ET (9pm UK) and MSNBC and Fox are on from 6pm ET (11pm UK).
NBC is using the studio previously used for Megyn Kelly Today as its Election HQ.
The versatility of that set just continues to amaze me. You’d hardly think, watching that, that it was originally designed for a morning talk show. The fact it’s acted as a temporary studio for so many different shows since Megan Kelly came off the air is a testament to it in itself, let alone how it’s now being used as an ‘election centre’.

I won't hold my breath.
That's an idea! Scrap the whole thing and replace it with 'Wake Up BBC', with a huge set and a big-name presenter line-up.
I joke, but to be fair in 2016 Breakfast did look good from the Sport Centre, and it's certainly a lot more suited to the profile of the show than the NWT studio is.
To be honest I don't really get why The Early Rundown doesn't begin at 5 every day. A big selling point of the new morning line-up could have been extended morning output, and with the earliest starting breakfast show on UK TV?
Instead, it just feels like the only point in The Early Rundown is because Kay didn't want to start at 6.
