What was that?

I thought the reference to the bloke in his 20s was Robert - but 'twas Craig.

A delightful, spectacle-free hour focusing on the people who have been in our living rooms for sixty years.

And Claudia ought to be hung for saying Blackpool is Vegas for the poor.

I think I’d be moody and stroppy If an aeroplane had just razed half of the village I lived in.

New BBC Local Radio jingles

The do sound very commercial, especially the notes at the start which sound very familiar to me, but can't place which commercial station I've heard them on.

I came across this YouTube play through of the demo of an upcoming PC game where you play the operator of the MCR of a TV control room - cutting between live cameras, running titles, running adverts, putting in video tapes and bleeping swear words - seems like the sort of thing some of us on here would be interested in.
I think theres some sort of dystopian government slant to it rather than being a straight control room sim through.

TV Breakdown Appreciation Thread

Wasn't the big issue with UTV that they forcibly opted out of GMTV to cover the Good Friday agreement signing - so whatever system they had at that point could be manually overridden against GMTV's wishes.

Classic Emmerdale

The only one I spotted building was Eric and his wife. I might be misremembering this but wasn't their suspicions of Eric using the crash to cover up killing his wife?
There was - and 20 years later Michael Feldman returned and accused Eric of her murder and tried to blackmail him.! Then it all came out about what happened on the night (Elizabeth was caught in a burning field after she left Eric, although Eric would have killed her for exposing him if the crash hadn't happened)
