Big Brother: Cameron wins

Jez posted:
I have to say how can they get to know who they get in with on an hour - they should have left it until Monday or Tuesday.

Thus removing any interest in the evictions whatsoever.

ITV1 - The One To Watch

Now that *is* a good idea, and well implemented too. If only they used that as a promo with a selection of generic idents.

Temporary Lounge

Cheese Head posted:
I have made a froum, in progress, it isn't a temp lounge. The closure said something about 'making a froum for general chit chat' it's what I'm doing. I'll link soon, I'm trying to do the colours

Why? This is the exact same problem as last time. Someone gets in with their forum first (last time, it was me), and then everyone wants a taste of power, so they set up a forum. The only way this will really work is if one member's forum (BBC TV Centre gets my vote, as his was first) is designated an 'official' replacement by the moderators.

Trust me, I write from experience.

I've got the little arsewipe's IP - it's 62.254.0.11.

Can one of the mods find out which member on here has used that IP?

I didn't think to note the IP's of the earlier offending post, but I've now blocked that one, and if he/she turns out to be the only troublemaker, I may consider reopening that temporary forum if there's call for it.

I think you'll find it's NOT his real IP address. It is in fact the address of the proxy server(s) which are forced upon all who have an ntl: broadband connection. As these caches are at the local POP, you may be denying access to a whole area of people if you do block the IP.

So this person has an ntl broadband connection AND lives near Nottingham (cache8-nott.server.ntli.net)

I have a forum, it's currently being built as I type... Wink

He he, brings back memories of that forum that we ran with Max. And we all know what happened there Laughing

itv lover, if you want, you can put the bbc world service logo as well.

Thanks, I've uploaded that along with the new BBC News 24 logo and a minor addition to the logo.

Thanks - I think the background are a useful addition to logos.

Could a general BBC logo be added as well please?

Do you mean the ribbons (blue, green & red) That they use on the Video / DVD Ident??

They were also uploaded to the Forum a while ago, and so some people must have them!

No, I mean just the 3 squares of the BBC logo. Also, the ITN logo would be very much appreciated, along with the new ITV News Channel blue/yellow logo used on promos. I may not be using these things now, but I've often required them before in making mocks and they may be useful to other forumers.

The idea of the site is to provide logos that can't easily be done with mdta's font, or logos in the right colours. The BBC and ITN logos can be replicated using the font easily enough, and I'll look in to the ITV News Channel logo.

As for the News 24 box, I'll do that now.

I don't like the mockery

Mockery? These are perfectly acceptable mocks. So back under the stone you go, eh?

As for the mocks, I think they're pretty good. The idea is a good one, and is pretty well implemented. The use of pink though... Wink .Perhaps it would be interesting to see some designed with the current Sky News look in mind?

Thanks very much for the comments. Well, I've uploaded everything you asked for (apart from the new FilmFour logo - any captures would be appreciated), and more. I've uploaded:

Arrow ITV Logo
Arrow BBC Generic Background
Arrow ITV1 Background
Arrow ITV2 Background
Arrow ITV News Background

I just raided my mocks folder and found those - hope they're useful. Sadly, I don't know who's responsible for them, so if any of those backgrounds are of your mouse, please contact me.

Brilliant! Very fresh, very clean. (I'd give it a rating but if I did I think I'd have to kill myself - figuratively speaking)

Paramount Mocks

Click where? I don't see a link anywhere.

And if you rate your mocks at only 5 out of 10, think: should you really be posting them? Imagine if you got 50% in a test . Would you be happy? I'd imagine not. But imagine if you got 80% or 90%. I'd imagine you'd be slightly happier. People won't be happy with your mocks if you yourself are not happy with them.

Im becoming a huge fan of Nicholas Owen! He is one of the best newsreaders Ive seen and I never really noticed.

"Well worth watching when we come back <POINT> DONT TOUCH THAT REMOTE"

Remember when he used to point all the time before!

Definately my favourite newsreader! Yesterday, at the end of the programme, he said "I'll be back in this chair...", while pointing at the chair and lifting himself out of it to a degree, "...tommorrow". Absolutely fabulous! Should be on the Evening News in my opinion.
