Bobinogs going!

I've also noticed this - the other day the channel ID was 'Blackadder II'.

It would appear the BBC are experimenting with providing a 'Now' service on analogue.

I'm suprised no one thought of doing it this way earlier! Razz

Channel 4 Political Awards

Right, now it's broadcasting as 4:3 Cutout AND in stretchyvision!

EDIT: FINALLY, after the first ad-break it's being shown in the correct 16:9 tagged, anamorphic unstretched picture Rolling Eyes

Channel 4 Political Awards

I've just noticed that the Channel 4 Political Awards are being broadcast as 16:9 Anamorphic with a 4:3 tag, so it appears squashed up on my 4:3 monitor.

This is on DTT from The Wrekin East.

EDIT: C4 realised their error and changed it to a 16:9 tag at 20:07
DOUBLE EDIT: Even more worryingly, C4 appear to be broadcasting the picture stretched vertically. When I watch on digital, during interviews people's heads are cut off at the top, but when I watch on analogue their heads are cleanly in-frame.

BBC News 24

Sorry if this has been mentioned before - I'm too tired to search the previous pages Wink

Anyway, is it just me or is the globe in the tower spining noticable faster than before? It's revolving roughly about once every 45 seconds as the time of writing.

Super Bowl XXXIX

Nice for us UK viewers to get a mention when they came back from the ad break at 00:12 UTC Wink
EDIT: And in the ticker underneath the scoreline!

TBH I don't know anything about the sport, I'm just watching it for the flashy graphics, and the fact they seem to have tailored the breaks in the game to suit the advertisers Razz

Freeview Auto Tuning

You won't need TopUpTV to get Red Hot apparently. The encryption will be done through an MHEG application which you enter a pin number into to gain access to the channel.

My Nebula DigiTV can dump it's MHEG cache to my HDD, so it might be possible to find the code with a quick search Wink

So, are we to expect the Pope Ticker to stop at the same time as the Pope's ticker stops?

Good job it's not called a rocker, otherwise they'd have had to stop using it years ago Razz

Pope's Death

I note that when the News 24 Pope Ticker first appeared, it was the standard orange colour directly underneath the tower, but halfway through Business Today it changed to a more 'sombre' black/red affair Wink.

EDIT: The 23:00 TOTH on N24 is clearly being Ad-libbed by Steven Cole. Infact, the pace he's talking and the things he's talking about, it's almost like a pre-mortem obitury Embarassed

DOUBLE EDIT: And the Pope Ticker is now a completely black affair Rolling Eyes
