True, however that different views of the newsroom would make more interesting viewing, but we know that people at Sky News seem oblivious to good presentation on all levels.
The current graphics aren't entirely vile, in some respect they actually look okay, I think it's just that they do not suit Sky News on any level. In fact they would be more suited to Sky News prior to its relaunch.
Returning to a Blue colour scheme for Sky News would be nice, I think. It would at least make the channel look less like the "Sun TV" and would appear more authorative. Semi transparent staps would be less offensive and returning the logo to the ticker would be good, they could then plop a square on screen to represent the programme identity, like Live at 5 etc or weather updates for sunrise where the current logo is, again, making it slightly translucent.
But of course most fundamentaly they must abandon this single headed programme, it is truly awful, absolutley crud. And for god's sake sort out the stories they put out too, either its Sky News or Sky Entertainment News, make the choice. And please please please have an actual differential between the programmes or don't bother labelling them.

Oh my goodness, it really is the end now if Kay is not presenting from the stairs. Well, I guess we had all better just resign to the fact that Sky News is over, it's not like they could perhaps present from somewhere else in the studio instead.True, however that different views of the newsroom would make more interesting viewing, but we know that people at Sky News seem oblivious to good presentation on all levels.

Well, you can't please anyone. After relaunch people complained how over the top it was and that they should return to more desk based presenting. Now that they have, people are complaining they should return to the relaunch style. I mean it's not perfect at the moment but for gods sake what do you exactly want?

Isn't it in the subtitles though? I can understand it for sport, weather and business presenters, but for the main presenters just after their names have been said?
Perhaps. But I'm not aware of anyone complaing when CNN do it, or when Sky News used to do it or the BBC. I think with all of Sky's other annoying graphic defficiencies at the moment, we could let this go. I stick to my point that if they are gonna do it, then make the straps translucent, maybe grey and smaller.
Cor' I wish I could get my hands on Sky's graphical package, I'd to do some tweaks and improvements with it.

Oh yeah, and about the name straps, I have no problem with them, I know the Big Voice does introduce them in the TOTH sequence, but some people, especially in offices may have the TV on mute, and then there are deaf people.
But they should again make them translucent and a bit smaller.

It is annoying, but then it isn't really taking up any more screen space than the pre-relaunch logo. Then they still had the ticker and had the logo in the top corner. Maybe they should make it translucent.
That guy from FouFourTwo magazine, Louis something is definitely eye-candy, they should hire him as a sports presenter.
