BBC1 Christmas

just seen them on BP. There's a quite amusing one where four kids are on their puds in a line and another bounces in fromt the right, and theres a chain reaction like the old executive toy! At least they're new

Matt said they will start being used tomorow, but Broadcast does say today!

"I'm a Celebrity" - Get Me a Career!

Don't patronise me I am not a silly 14 year old and have in fact been studying the Television industry for the past two and a half years as part of a degree course. I was in the living room by choice yes. And yes I wasn't "forced" to watch the programme but I still stand by my points in my post. I still don't understand how these people constitute celebrities. Can anyone shed light on this? Did anyone know who Fran was before this programme went out? Becuase I didn't.

Ahh, that explains it - a media studies student... just like ALL the others

At the expense of being polite...FU*K OFF!

"I'm a Celebrity" - Get Me a Career!

I just think the whole premise of the show is demining to "celebrities" and insulting to the viewers.

Why is it demining?

Well surely there is a moral question to be asked when people enjoy watching someone eat Kangaroo Bollocks. And I find it hypocritical that there was an uproar at Rebecca Loos wanking a pig, but Paul Burrell can eat kangaroo bollocks...why is one acceptable and not the other.

The programme is practically legal torture for people that get on our nerves...Linda Barker, JSP, Paul Burrell et al

Insulting, why?

Because by putting this programme on year after year (and twice this year) ITV are failing to provide the public with programmes that they really deserve, programmes that meet the programme quality of ITV in the 80's and early nineties...quality programmes from the likes of LWT, Thames, Yorkshire and Granda. I just don't think the programme meets the standards that we deserve as a public. ITV know it will be watched and therefore will repeat he format again and again with out challenging the genre or breaking new ground in entertainment.

Disagree with me if you like...But i feel very strongly that ITV is in a mess because they continue to use formats over and over, becuase they're cheap and effective, without trying anything new!

"I'm a Celebrity" - Get Me a Career!

What would I prefer to watch?

Monty Python; Fawlty Towers; The South Bank Show; Question Time; Channel 4 News; Yes! Minister; Liquid News; Liquid Assets; Two Pints; Eastenders; Corrie; The Simpsons; Friends; Will and Grace; French and Saunders; Have I Got News For You; Dinnerladies; As Seen On TV; The Vicar of Dibley; Newsnight; Newsnight Review; This Week; Daily Politics; The Wright Stuff; Nighty Night; The Smoking Room; Phoenix Nights; BBC 10 O'Clock News; Ellen; Sports Night; Little Britain; Watchdog; Holiday etc etc...Quite a mix I think!

Anyway. Let's all agree to disagree with me!

"I'm a Celebrity" - Get Me a Career!

I have not shifted my arguement, in my very first post I asked why they were celebrities.

But please explain WHY this is seen as entertainment?

No I don't NEED to be patronised. As you say I am entitled to an opinion
