Well, if I'm not mistaken, what actually happens is they ask 100 people, and then the top six answers given by those hundred are put on the board. So say, for example, if 23 different answers are given, only the top six are shown. However, if only three different answers are given, then those three are shown. You'll notice that when there are fewer than six answers, when all are revealed, they will total 100. However, when the presenter says 'top six answers for this one' before asking the question on the podium, this means that not all answers given are represented.

Ant & Dec's Gameshow Marathon
I thought it could just be them having lots of answers, however in one Double Money board, there were only four on the board, which means all 100 people gave one of four answers. And since the top two answers which were found totalled about eighty, it would be impossible for 3 and 4 to total anything more than this (because they're listed in order of value). So they definitely fluffed up somewhere along the line. Besides which, before the break, the Vordermans had about 240. Their final score was 321 with only one (I think!) answer left unrevealed on the board. Adding this approximate eighty means there's no chance the money was doubled. Tut tut.

Try enlarging the 'Breaking News' strap and putting it on a grey background, because your choice of backing is fairly distracting, but I think it looks good!

First two aren't really important, but the presenter, ie Ant or Dec didn't move down the row of the family when asking questions, so it looked a bit cold. Les would never be so rude! Still, no great issue.
Also, the X or the answers just 'appeared' on the board, there was no 'wipe' effect like previously. Still not important.
BUT in Double Money, they didn't actually double the money! The Kays only won £60 when it should have been £120. Poor show! And whilst we're on the topic, when [beep] was given as an answer, that should have been taken as the answer. Oh well...!
Worst of all, the car wasn't a nasty Daewoo. "The family saloon that has it all". Moi? Family Fortunes freak? Gotta love Challenge.

Overuse of fonts
Century Gothic. Hmm, www.gategourmet.com... Gate Gourmet's corporate font. Enough to put you off, really...

Overall, however, a nice look.
Sky News
I like them - much neater. One point, however, is the text in a main strap eg Coming Up chyanging to upper case in the tab when it appears above. If they were either both upper/lowercase, then you could do an ITV-style animation with the tab popping up and the letters moving into the tab, but like this, it takes a moment or two to associate the text in the main strap later appearing in the tab - because of the case change. This isn't an issue with the breaking news - and I think that works really well!Overall, however, a nice look.

What is the Font used on...
The one used there is several versions of Franklin Gothic, but the one the BBC actually use is Swiss and its variants as has been mentioned by the first reply.

"5,900,000,000 don't die in tsunami"
Curious, but I suppose in this instance they're trying to get what affects most people rather than the minority - going for the 'mainly' option rather than the 'good/bad somewhere' approach.

What if...
Any thoughts on this design? Less simple, but I think the new ITV design is too simple and lacks distinctiveness. The itv wordmark in lowercase still dominates, and is, of course, in blue. However, the font used to add the sub-brand, eg itv one also has a sense of character rather than that of a faceless corporation. I think the itv is quite different to anything else proposed - what d'y'all reckon?http://www.rp-networkservices.com/tvforum/uploads/new_itv.jpg
