We can already see some clips of interviews from World online and obviously the reports. I think it is more of this that we can expect to see, not great chunks of programming suddenly simulcast.
BBC News Channel General Discussion
I'm pretty sure he is talking about showing more of World's reports and not their actual programmes. This coincides with Newsnight dropping their second Foreign reporter in favour of using more of BBC World's reports. Yalda Hakim's reports have popped up regularly on Newsnight in the last few months.

CNN International & Domestic
I did notice that in the article. Maybe the effects of a lack of news on CNN international have been noticed? Obviously need to remember the tweet that brought me to the article was from a competitor of CNN!

CNN International & Domestic
Peter Horrocks has tweeted a comment that CNN is going to be showing wildlife documentaries in prime time. There's a link to an article on capital New York .com . Not sure how to copy link on my iPad, but its worth taking a read. Shows how CNN is (in my humble opinion) destroying itself.

BBC Newsnight
I think Maitlis will be built more into the Newsnight brand. Expect to see far less of her on the news channel. I can't see her as the BBC political editor - but she could well be the main presenter of newsnight post paxman (and Wark?).

BBC World News from New Broadcasting House
Has anyone listened to the new World Service programme Outside Source? It is on at 11am UKT. The BBC have said it will launch on World News in 2014 and so far I've been reasonably impressed with what I have heard. A bit gimicky in places but a good story count.

No some speculation from the Spectator though with an interesting update at he end, http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2013/10/kuenssberg-pym-davis-kennedy-islam-perry-who-will-be-the-bbcs-next-business-editor/
Also some good career advice to Laura Kuenssberg.
It's absurd that they even included Evan Davis in that list - incredibly unlikely to give up Today for a job similar to his last one. Laura Kuenssberg is a possibility, but I have always thought it is far more likely they will look for (a woman) from the print world. My money at the moment would be on Gillian Tett.

Has there been an announcement re the news Business Editor?

BBC National/News Channel from New Broadcasting House
A bit picky I know, but they just put all the BBC station logos up behind Clive and included the old BBC radio 7 logo instead of 4Extra.

Peston is virtually on record as saying he wants Nick Robinson's job (Independent)
I am surprised by this decision but it does make some sense. Economics, business and political editors are all senior posts. I wouldn't say any one of them is higher, but I do think it makes it more likely that Peston will do all three in his career! Economics is more political and does give Peston a new challenge. I'm sure the business role will be an outsider though.
BBC News: Presenters & Rotas
It also neatly solves the Beeb's problem of potentially having an unfamiliar network-wide economics editor at the same time as Newsnight gets one (assuming it does), while perhaps moving Robert into a more political role as a potential contender to replace Nick Robinson.

I actually think it is highly unlikely that Lucy gets the post. I'm sure she will be the defacto presenter until they announce who is getting the job (which might take them months - January relaunch?) but is probably not considered a big enough name to front it permenantly. I suspect that will go to either Babita Sharma or Yalda Hakim.

Is Lucy Hockings the new No1. for Impact now? It surely looks like she's the most likely .
