Is it a case that Studio A can't have a jib or just not available in the transition phase.
According to my source, a jib could be used in studio A, although isn't at present. I also have learnt that the TC7 jib has been relocated to W1, which when added to the studio B jib, gives a possibility of three jibs across the new studios(excluding the jib already in the separate Arabic studio)

Anyone spot the Ronnie Barker lookalike amongst this lot? Thanks to a BBC friend who pointed this out.

In TC2 for the "locals" vr, they used a jib. I assume that a similar set up is being used in TC5. Studio A in W1 does not have this option. This might explain your question.

This may be a daft question, but if studio A (the VR one) is up and running, why are BBC News bringing TC5 out of mothballs and reequipping the galleries for Jeremy Vine's bits of the US Election coverage?
They've done the Vine bits from ITN before so being at BH doesn't sound like it should be a problem.

Low ceilings in TV never works well. It makes proper lighting virtually impossible.

A low ceiling height works well here then

In hands?
LOL. It's interesting too how the jockey, Tom Quealey, hasn't really made a name for himself despite riding Frankel in all his victories.
Of the list on Odds Checker though I'd go for:
Bradley Wiggins
Andy Murray
Mo Farah
Jessica Ennis
David Weir
Ellie Simmonds
Lord Sebastian Coe
Heather Watson
Rory McIlroy
Ian Poulter
Chris Hoy
Ben Ainslie
Lewis Hamilton
Jonnie Peacock
Charlotte Dujardin
Sarah Storey
Tom Daley
Victoria Pendleton
Alistair Brownlee
Greg Rutherford
Jason Kenny
Katherine Grainger
Laura Trott
Nicola Adams
John Terry
Alistair Cook
Amir Khan
Andrew Strauss
With the final two spaces pretty much a fight between the remaining Olympians and Rory McIlroy. I do feel though he BBC will put in a couple of non-Olympians for the sake of it.
Mo Farrah (due respect) did no more than several others have done previously at the olympics, gold at the 5k and 10k at the same olympics......Good personality(which counts) although as an overall achievement, I would put others ahead of him. If like Lasse Viren for example(double gold at 5k and 10k in 1972 and 1976), he defends these golds in Brazil, that would be a special achievement (and I hope he does)
That all said, if I was a gambler, I would have a fiver on Jessica Ennis.......and another fiver on a special award for Seb Coe
I better stop as this is a tv forum and not a sports one.

How do you measure a horse's personality though?

Well the 6 is apparently still in there for a few more weeks but potentially that could then be the last broadcast.
The 2000 summary is also from there. Additionally there is talk of S+PP having a booking to use TC7 early next year.
