'Click Online' is about technology and computers.
Not sure if there would be much call for a programme about idents. The subject would be pretty much exhausted after one show!

I hope someone with a decent knowledge of what the public wants ident wise takes over. Also, we need more programming that would interest everybody. For example, you never see any programmes about TV presentation or computers etc etc. Just soaps and thing similar.

No, Wales Today is by far the best local news programme on the BBC.

No doubt BBC London News will get best regional news magazine...well come on if London Tonight can win it...
And would I be cynical in thinking that the specialist journalism award has already gone to Frank Gardner?

There is a lot more to channel controller than chosing the idents...
And commisioning decent programmes, sorting out the crap which is the Six O' Clock News, making the channel appear modern and classy and not pandering to focus groups etc. Yes, it's a tricky job. Let's hope that someone competent can assume the position.

Please write a book, Nick!
Full Tumbler symbols on BBC ONE NI
I reckon Nick Harvey should write a book about his life, views and memories. It would be a very interesting read, as all his posts on this forum are always informative entwined with some very dry witPlease write a book, Nick!

Hopefully the English regions look won't be adopted - I'd like to see predominantly black titles using the red dragon and map of Wales.
No map, but here's a dragon

It's been nearly 5 and a half years since the current look was introduced (October 1999), and apart from a couple of minor studio tweaks, it's remained completely the same, which I think is good. There's no need for BBC Wales to arse around with their news presentation every few months as the regions across the border in England have done.
Saying that, I do now think that the current look for Wales Today is getting a bit stale now. Nothing majorly wrong with it as it is, but the worst elements for me are those titles and music.
I have no information yet on what the new studio will look like, but I hope it's done in the best possible taste - unlike that vile new Tefal desk at BBC East.
What would Wales Today titles look like if they had adopted the previous English regions look? Maybe something very similar to this, which I knocked up earlier, and which I rather like.

BBC Wales Today - Mock Ident
Here are a few more ideas for the main for the programme. I understand that these strictly speaking should be in the 'Mocks' forum, but I wanted to start this thread speculating on what kind of thing we might see from BBC Wales.
