Featuring a pointy-nosed fairy-tale figure inspired by the child catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, the Judderman was played by a Czech ballet dancer. Yet somehow this eastern bloc Wayne Sleep still managed to be spine-tinglingly creepy. With its nursery-rhyme music and puppet-like jerky movements, this hideous creature was meant to symbolise the 'judder' that drinking Metz gave you.
