Bloke says 'C U Next Tuesday' on Channel 4 Racing

Channel 4 was forced to issue three on-air apologies yesterday afternoon after a victorious trainer said "c***" twice during its live horseracing coverage from York.
The broadcaster received five complaints from viewers about the incident - but one person also called in to say that the trainer in question, Mick Easterby, should be allowed to say what he liked on TV.

I'd like to see a clip of this if anyone was recording it. It was just before 2pm according to Media Guardian.

ITV1 - Schedule change

What happened with adverts? Did some ads that would have been shown after the football end up being shown during Naughtiest Blunders instead?

I bet advertisers wouldn't be pleased with that.

Sit up Channels having 'problems with the graphics'

They have had various problems in the past but what kind of problem would cause them not to be able to show graphics?

Both Bid TV and Price Drop are breaking out of Screenshop to show the scheduled adverts.

Sit up Channels having 'problems with the graphics'

None of the Sit Up channels (Sky 635, 644 and 655) are able to show graphics for some reason. The Bid-up presenter has been doing a rather good job of filling for the past ten minutes. Price Drop and Speed Auction were filling and have now gone to Screenshop.

Update: All three channels are now showing Screenshop.

Is there anyway of getting BBC Paraliment in full screen on freeview? It fills the screen on SKY but were getting rid of it in less than a week and I want to know how I can see the later repeat of PMQ's each week from now on a bigger picture.

BBC Paraliment is FTA. You won't lose it just because you don't pay for Sky.

Challenge Asking For Suggestions

Anything Challenge make is just going to be low budget and will end up being as good as the original in very few cases, worst in most cases and never better (even if we do have to use rose tinted spectacles when looking at the original).

I think they should make their own show, their own original idea. I know Bullseye has been quite popular, but isn't that just the novelty of having new episodes after all of these years? It can't last can it?

Most old shows were taken off air for a reason. I am a fan of game shows and I like Challenge but I would really rather watch old shows then the low budget remakes.

Anyone remember Challenge's remakes of Winner Takes All (Bobby Davro) and Sale of the Century (Keith Chegwin). Not bad shows if you stand them alone, but no where near as good/interesting as watching the rarely repeated originals.

The only show I can think of off the top of my head that didn't get a fair run was Interceptor which got lost in the great ITV franchise of 1992. I can't see Challenge making that though. The helicoptor would need to become a push bike for a start.

Maybe there are some other shows that didn't get a fair chance at becoming great, or maybe Challenge can buy a format from another country that hasn't been seen here before?

I've got it. How about a second series of Karaoke Challenge?

Gervais Simpsons Episode

I wouldn't be surprised if Fox put a thing in the contract Channel 4 has to air The Simpsons that Sky One can say such comments.

Don't be stupid. Why would Sky One need Channel 4's permission to say that? Did you get Sky's permission to make your post about them?

Swearing on TV

I seem to remember Caprice said Cnut on This Morning a few years ago. Apparently there were no complaints.

Swearing on TV

Hmm.. It's fairly subjective as to whether those words would cause offence or not.
Broadcasters do take this kind of thing seriously, and before a programme's broadcast, someone will view it all the way through and make a note of any bad language (or anything else that might breach Ofcom's Broadcast Code) - they might make a pre-watershed version of it and cut bits out, or bleep or dip the audio around sweary bits.

This is quite an interesting file, it shows the swear words in the complete Father Ted series so that other TV companies can buy episodes and edit them without having to watch the episodes themselves
