Not of the broadcaster's doing, originated in the US Film and TV Studios system fearing the loss of revenue for DVD/BR sales, the studios were inclined not to allow programming on HD channels without this 'feature'. The broadcasters reluctantly went along with their demands to get HD started.

It surely is time for this to be reviewed though, considering the changed landscape.

Isn't the split 11-5 not 12-4, notwitstanding the BBC Wales Swansea match exception.

Of the Digital Platforms matches 6 are BT and 2 BBC, it's notable that none of the 1500 Sat matches gets a 'Channel' outing.

One of the main movers for this service was for those severely disadvantaged. Homes where only one receiver is available and where multiple children live across the Primary and Secondary sectors.

Running both services concurrently rather than simultaneously helps achieve the aim.

Leeds vs Southampton's PL match due on the 20th January (Sky Sports) has been postponed.

This is a result of the FACR3 - Southampton vs Shrewsbury match pp due C19 last weekend, now scheduled for next Tuesday 19th, originally scheduled match was a BT Sport pick on BTSX. No broadcast arrangementsas yet for the rearranged match.
