A question:
ITV seem to have a warehouse like 'studio' that they've been using a lot lately:
• 'Competition HQ'
• 'The Chancellor's Budget'
• Various ITV News interviews
• 'Saturday Night Takeway'
Does anyone know where this is. Looks a bit like it could be their Waterhouse Square HQ but it could really be anywhere.
What gave that impression?

Pop in to a Granada motoway services, after picking up your Granada rental tv set from the Granada/Radio Rentals shop...in a Ford Granada of course.
Take me back to those days anytime!

I've only tried to point out my opinion that procuction labels such as 'Granada' stand out as a mark of quality even after all these years!

Went to see All Star Mr and Mrs with Matthew Wright and Anna Windass from Corrie a few years back, again that took ages as there was a light that kept flashing on the podium.
Lastly went to see Jeremy Kyle in Media City a few years ago, that was good, they filmed 3 episodes a day so you got to see 1 and a half then the next lot came in to see the other half.

From what I read they are doing that too, I think they're going to build an expanded set where the old set is once they've moved to the new set. Means it won't all be continuous though, they'll be walking round a corner then moving from one set to another.
They use to do that on Brookside when they went through to the Parade.

It's a very constrained site isn't it. Is its basically a like for like replacement, they aren't doing like Corrie did and taking the opportunity to extend the set with new streets we've never seen before?

The Sun reckon that Rob Rinder is in the running to replace Piers, although they’re also saying that the producers haven’t ruled out having rotating guests rather than a permanent replacement:

Bauer rebranding 53 stations to The Hits/Greatest Hits
Yeah I also loved Real Radio/Century Radio, I think at the time Radio City was going through a lot of changes and Century Radio also took a few of their presenters.I was gutted when Heart came to the North West, the only good thing about that station was Joel and Lorna on Breakfast.

Yeah I remember the wedding being shown on Big Breakfast in the summer.

I think Trouble showed the original at some point at well, but yes they definitely showed the new class.
I know the original showed up on The Vault after they started showing more programmes than music as well. Can't remember if they showed the College Years or New Class though. I have vague memories of at least the TV Movie that ended The College Years turning up on The Bigger Breakfast too, IIRC split over several days rather than shown in one go.

Rossie presents from St. John's Beacon in Liverpool (Radio City Tower) which negates the studio requirements at Bauer Manchester.
GHR Has it's own Studio in Liverpool so it is used between Rossie and Rick for the current evening show. Plus they had one for Radio City Talk so think there is a few spare for production etc.

A local breakfast show for GHR would seem the logical move. Allows Rossie to continue broadcasting to the area he’s known & everywhere else gets a better fit. But I wonder if studio spares stops this?
Hits network stations are local at breakfast & I can imagine GHR use the same studios in the afternoon in locations where both are present?
