At least Dr Who 2005 isn't shying away from controversy - feeling sorry for a Dalek, letting teenagers view the deaths of their fathers, blowing up Big Ben and Number Ten.... cracking
Doctor Who: The New Series
Ok - moving on to this weekend's episode - the Doctor takes Rose to the spot where her father dies. (NB not a spoiler as the stupid "Next Time..." shots revealed this) Anyone else think good story but a bit insensitive and irresponsible on the Doctor's part? I wouldn't want to see one of my parents killed, god forbid that should happen. At least Dr Who 2005 isn't shying away from controversy - feeling sorry for a Dalek, letting teenagers view the deaths of their fathers, blowing up Big Ben and Number Ten.... cracking

as weird as this may sound, i think it's probably true...didn't he say that in an interview once - parky or clive anderson?
If Richard Whiteley dies, Will Countdown still be on?

I wonder if he'll have the countdown clock music played as the curtains close around the coffin at his funeral...

Men and Motors to launch on Freeview in May
I imagine ITV4 will go on LCN35 (after ITV3), and that More 4 will go on 37 with 9Live on 39

Maybe if you added a bit more depth / tone variety to the background, had a stronger colour for the number 24 and World Today text - perhaps black to match the BBC News underneath?
BBC News
They're a bit silvery - a bit wishy washy for my liking. But an improvement on the current look certainly. 7.5/10Maybe if you added a bit more depth / tone variety to the background, had a stronger colour for the number 24 and World Today text - perhaps black to match the BBC News underneath?

But I do remember going "Rose! What are you doing?!?" when she gave him the Tardis key. And why was she so chavved up for this ep?
Doctor Who: The New Series
i think after last week's big event we needed a more sedate, unimpressive episode to a) get rid of Todd Grimshaw without us caring and b) to see the Doctor's more stern side. But I do remember going "Rose! What are you doing?!?" when she gave him the Tardis key. And why was she so chavved up for this ep?

I think we're meant to be putting spoliers in white text dear. I hate spoilers - it's just so damn rude
It ain't a spoiler - it's a rumour. I don't know what's going to happen cos Im not part of the Dr Who scriptwriting team. Not that it matters, the story will appear in the Radio Times or Daily Mirror about three weeks before the season finale anyways - if you want to avoid knowing the plot of any TV programme nowadays you have to be a deaf mute nun from Anglesey. But that's for another thread - a "Stop Spoilers Now!" thread

Apparently...according to the rumour mill, the Daleks will return in Episodes 12 and 13 which I have a funny feeling
will feature the end of the Time War in which the Doctor somehow thwarts the extermination of the Time Lords.
Of course this could be complete crud but would make for a smashing season-ending finale
It'll also make a great segway for the Doctor's next (sooner than originally expected) re-generation . . .
pedant's note - a segway was a two-wheeled travelling machine, a segue is a transition between two ideas....
