The Krypton Factor definitely needs to come back!!! It will be interesting to see where this show rates in the UKgameshows.com recent poll.

I can exclusively reveal that it's done fairly well, you'll just have to wait for the results to go up soon to find out exactly how well!

I'm sorry but I haven't tuned into Nightscreen lately, so can anyone explain what Press Ganged is all about?

It's Survivor: On A Ship.

Something else to consider: I'm told that show was filmed the same evening of the day of the previous two episodes, where people had walked away with £5 and 1p.

£26,000 at the Round of 11 is a really dangerous amount of money because it could very easily go dramatically wrong. As they'd said, nobody had been offered that much at that stage before.

I do wonder if they perhaps reshot some of it.

So the decorations were put up early and when Noel says the date sometimes, that's simply the date he knows it will air on? Do they just want us to think it's live?

It's merely some basic continuity to feel more in touch with the people at home.

Countdown is the same.

I think the guy, in the end, wanted the 1p winning for the 'fame' of itinstead of the £100. Is this show LIVE?

No! Although I think they are filmed fairly close to the date they are to be aired on - 3 are filmed in one go.

Dude, this was recorded the first week of December. Without wanting to be rude, I did write this right at the bottom of the last page.

I've been told by one of the contestants that one of the other players decided to give him a penny themselves right at the end during the group hug bit. 2p for 22 shows work, there.

Hmm, but then you have the tricky proposition of finishing at 5:45.

Over the Christmas period, DoND was averaging over four million, peaking at 4.5m at one point.

Re: recordings,

Three (although we've also heard they cut back to two for a period) a day over a five week period with a week off in the middle (this entire 66 episode series had finished filming by the end of the first week of December - hence the confused looks on old people's faces when they get asked if they had a nice Christmas).

Recording resumes next Monday.

Well the show isn't working where it is, sooner or later I think bosses will deide on a switch. There's a massive turn off when Richard and Judy come on, I'd do a trial period of Richard and Judy at 3.30, Countdown at 4.15 and DOND at 5 to see how well it works.

If that means extending DoND to an hour, I don't think it will work very well at all.

Celebrity Big Brother

Pete Burns has pretty much confirmed he's going in on the Dead or Alive website. Although I suppose it could all be an elaborate double bluff.

Bullseye - The Revival

Reality check! This story comes from the Daily Star. Methinks it may be a little premature to suggest that this is in any way actually going to happen.

True enough, but it's certainly something that's been rumoured for a rather a long time.

Bullseye - The Revival

Brekkie Boy posted:
Terrible idea. The success of the Gameshow Marathon was viewers being able to look back with in a nostalgic glaze and just laugh at how bad shows like Bullseye actually were.

But a) Bullseye was actually quite good and b) it's getting very reasonable ratings for Challenge at the mo.

My biggest problem with Ant and Dec's Bullseye is that if it's anything like the version on Gameshow Marathon, it will be really boring. There is *literally* no reason why Bowen shouldn't be bought back for it, especially as I imagine Tony Green will.

As for it's scheduling - a bit of explanation to non-UK viewers. C4 traditionally have a very strong daytime line up, and throughout the 80s/90s Countdown, the quiz that launched C4, was often the top rated programme for the channel.

Erm, Countdown hasn't been anything like C4's top rating show for about the last ten years, in fairness.

And the Aussie show is just the original Dutch show in a much smaller studio really.

Goodness, don't you lucky viewers have to work for a living?

The only bad thing I can say about DoND (having caught a couple of weekend eps) is its scheduling.

Surely a late night repeat is called for?

That's just it, it was invented purely so I could follow it whilst I was at work. Happily enough people are able to commentate.
