I get the feeling that any sort of caption would be generated at transmitter rather than at the BBC, and would probably already be on a backup PC in Powerpoint or something.
I very much if they'd use Powerpoint to generate a breakdown caption.
What happens if it crashed during a nuclear attack on a blue screen
If there was a nuclear blast, is any presenter actually wanting to present the news, when they could be spending their last moments with friends and family?
Do you think they would waste time on banter, DOGS, and graphics in the time of an emergency?
I'm not dissing your mocks or anything, they're great, but if it did happen, I would expect something like plain on-screen graphics with information on what to do.
Does it follow proper BBC guidelines and use the right font? Probably not. But its something the BBC staff wouldn't have time to get right. During a time of nuclear emergency, getting it to look right wouldn't be the most important thing.
Ignore the text, that's just something I copied and pasted.
Well, here's my tuppence worth. In times of emergency, the BBC has been known to royally f*ck things up on air, in particular during emergiency situations like the bomb at TV Centre.
So here's my mock, hastily thrown together, and in 4:3 (seeing as I hate widescreen so much ).
I had a quick go then, since you posted and have come up with this, a rather flustered looking Sophie (recognise her?) comes on air. Complete with Interference.
This is only my second post on the forum, and my first file upload. I have brought together all the BBC Regional News programmes to form this 'look across the regions' promo. The quality is not that good to keep the file size down.
When I try to download anything other than the Peter Scissons and Michael Buerke I get a page saying that they are unavailible for download. Whats going on?

It's the kinda like anti-leech system that Lycos use to prevent people from remotely linking to the files.
