I agree- they've made clear vague plans to put news on ITV2 and ITV3, which I think were described as "plans". To me they sound a bit like aspirational pipe-dreams....

....the whole point of this operation was to cut the utterly pointless and loss-making news operation to make space for more cheap, tacky, commercially viable pap.

Perhaps they'll put their journalist onto "celebrity newswatch" for ITV2- that counts as news output doesn't it?

I think all mention of "news reinvestment" will be forgotten within weeks.

I agree that you should not lie to people, but we are obviously reading from different dictionaries...

Nini, read, take note...in the english language we have a word called RESEARCH...and I will now demostrate what this is...

I researched the definition of the word hobby

Hence the idea of telling somebody to STOP is pointless because they do it because it makes them feel good. Believe it or not you can feel good whilst doing something and be completely crap at it at the same time. I realize that some people do it because they are born and bred little s***es, a so in those cases we employ the ignoring,respect and tolerance tactics.

If you have formed a opinon on the forum and it's members after less than a few months here then why are you still here. We can clearly see that this mock is not very good and so are a number of mocks in this forum. If this was a wonderful mock then I would not have said it but honestly look at this mock. I am not for taking a few designers like Lee Seaman, Martin, Mr Q and others and setting there own little part of the site to there selfs, they have there own sites for this and they have set up there own mocking sites. There are many other designers that have the tallent to produce a good mock, even if it isn't that good but it has the ideas there then they should be able to post it but in my opinion this mock in question can't even be classed as a mock. In my opinion mocks like this shouldn't be allowed on the forum.

This is my opinion, hate should not be given out just for opinion.

I was merely suggesting that you should not single out a persons work because it is what you deem to be sub-standard.

Anyway, I can see where you are coming from, but everybody deserves a chance and recognition of their contribution regardless of size and good execution

Here is the first of my mocks. It is a split screen mock.

I set myself the aim of creating a mock that it both simple to understand and view, flows and looks natural and is compact yet dominating within the screen space.

Since I orginally did this I have changed the background colour of the ticker to a white colour with a blue font, and i have since aquired the sky font too. I do realise that you probab.ly will not be able to see the font. This is something that occured during compression, I am currently working to deal with this.

Great;

Although my personal opinion is that an image of a testcard has a particularly large amount of room for potential.

All in all a great attempt. I can really see this on TV.

However, if ITV are barely willing to spend 4million pounds a year on the NC, i hardly think that they could afford a black blank screen.

I am looking for a clean version of the original SN music. I heard somewhere that it was called 'Great news' or something similar, and was used by quite a few US broadcasters around that time. After running a google search I couldn't find anything.
