BBC 2W

What I don't understand is why have some programmes on BBC TWO Wales (analogue) that aren't on BBC TWO Network or 2W (and therefore not be available in digital).
Why not combine put all the analogue TWO Wales opt-outs on 2W too (or should that be 2?)

When do we get 2E? Two hours of Stewart White every evening!!!!!

The current evening guy on Anglia is rubbish.
Sounds like Nigel Mansell, only more monotonic!!!!!

My favorite was alway Graham Bell, the guy who kept the Anglia clock going, and used to present About Anglia before continuity.
Sadly died before the hearts era.

Don't you think Kirsty's hairdo made her look so old?
I have always been a Mary Nightingale fan since London Tonight, so my vote goes to her. Katie Derham a close second.

A football and This Morning themed week?
Ross Kemp and Sarah Lancashire in a comedy drama where they allow a camera crew into their house to film their activity, with hilarious consequences?
The first 4 episodes of a brilliant American drama show, with the other 18 shown 8 months later at 2am?
The posibilities really are endless.

Carlton ident on HTV

Anglia and Meridian messups in both continuity and localized trailers do occur fairly regularly, especially during the day, since the voiceovers are shared at that time anyway.

Some decent programmes would be nice.
Something that isn't reality TV, a soap or a naff quiz show.

As for the idents, I would be happier if all regions took the UTV/STV/Grampian approach, and banished ITV from all existance.
Why should a generic feel be used? The regions were different, the presentations were different - that's how it always used to be, and some of the best idents ever were local ITV ones. Now, we have one terrible one (hearts) and one pretty good one (Carlton), but why call all the regions Carlton. Might just as well call them ITV.

Now where did Anglia put that flag?

CNN America's New War / War On Terror

I don't know who else has picked this up, but CNNI are trying to hide the 'America's New War' title that all the CNN programmes are using, with their 'War On Terror' title. A bit naff, really, as you get Aaron Brown (or whoever) sitting in front of a massive screen/video wall with 'America's New War' on it, and 'America's New War' is slapped all over the web site. Why are they bothering to hide it?

I was in the US over the attacks til last weekend, and CNN US did a superb job, but when I got back, I thought just how naff CNNI was looking, amateurish crashing of idents, cutting reports in half and no end of mess-ups.

And finally, I got addicted to CNN's America's New War theme.
Does anyone know where an mp3 (or whatever) copy of the theme is? CNNI keep playing three seconds of it.

If Anglia do break away, good for them. They did it with the old ITV Corporate look. And the flag is better than ITV have come up with.
Won't happen through.

Carlton and other Regions

Well, I get the impression that ITV think that can turn the ITV brand into the BBC brand, especially abroad. There is potentially a huge amount of cash to be made in selling programmes abroad, and the BBC brand carries a certain image, as does Thames. ITV doesn't.

Why do you think Murray, Martin and James keep referring to the F1-ITV pit crew? That isn't for British consumption. It's for all the foreign suits who take the ITV international sound feed.

I guess it was a bit of a digression though.
