…and finally

Well, today’s the day. The time has come for me to say a big thank you to Asa, and goodbye. All the best to him, and to everyone else who I look forward to discussing TV presentation and other related topics over on TV Live Forum.

I leave you all with the of the very last episode of a certain police drama. Very Happy

Farewell, TV Forum.

The TV Forum

Evening all,
As the date for this site’s demise draws even closer, I just I’d take the time to let you know about another forum which has just launched and created by one of the users on here, ‘JustMatt’.

It’s called ‘The TV Forum’, and it’s pretty much the same thing where you can discuss all things about TV, TV presentation and so on. Not only that, but you can also talk about Radio, Technology, Websites and even video games. I’m on this site already, (under the same name as I am on TV Forum), so feel free to sign up for an account and come and say hi! And have a nice chat in the process.

BBC London (Radio) 2001 Jingles

Is this what you mean with the package:

(Right click and "Save File As")

Apologies if it is audio watermarked version.

Not that one, I meant the package they used after the station rebranded from GLR in 2000. It’s in this video (at 20:45).

Massive thank you for sharing this Bail. I too have been searching for this package, so it’s nice to have been able to come across it today.

Please may I have the London Live cuts from 2000 if you do have them?

…and finally

Very sad news, I’ve only just read this.
I have only been on this site for 3 or 4 years and have pretty much been a lurker, however I’ve enjoyed every single moment of it and it’ll be the one site which I’ll treasure forever.

When I get up every morning, this is the first site I visit to see what everyone’s taking about in the TV presentation world, and maybe make the odd contribution too if there’s post which is in my interest. I also like seeing all the brilliant mocks in The Gallery as well, seeing the creativity and character about and how they influence and replicate past, present and future presentation. Now though, at the end of this month, those will no longer be a thing. Sad

Being a presentation anorak myself, I’m so glad that I’ve found this site, which has everything I’ve always envisaged; Great members, great opinions, great debate and great discussion. And those are the qualities I look for on a forum, and this one ticks all those boxes for me.

Thank you Asa, for a brilliant forum.
TV presentation discussion will live on.

Stay safe everyone, and farewell.

Enjoy every minute of this site while you can.

BBC Select to return as a brand

When I saw this image earlier this year, I realised things have gotten into a bit of a mess.

Does this mean that BBC Four's channel logo will change from black to purple?

Then it would be the same as BBC Local Radio if they did that.

The ITN Nostalgia Thread

I don't think this is what you're after, but just in case it is:

Thanks for hunting that out, Brekkie.

It's so close to what I vaguely remember but not quite it. Very nice to hear again though.

The piece of music was drummy like this one but a bit shorter and even more dramatic, for want of a better word.

Would it be the one which was used near the end of the Evening News when they opted out to the regions for a brief moment, as featured in this video?

Also, the copyright surrounding BBC content is very strict, so if your trying to obtain something as a collector, it’s not easy to get hold of no matter how sincere you are.
