Good Morning Britain

Maybe it's so they can use the large screen more (especially for the 6:00-6:30 programme).

Looks good! Although I think it would be better with a circular desk.

Well the outline is for a Washington-style set in NBH-E and I'm not sure that that style of desk would work in a circle shape.

Ahh. I thought it would be a 2008 style desk which I think looks quite dated. The Washington desk does look nice though

These would be lovely and adorable, also would the BBC One logo change in this idea?

I hadn't really given it much thought! I suppose that in my head it used the current logo and placement, but there is no reason that couldn't change.

In other news, I've been able to add a bit more to the NBH newsroom today...

...and I've also sketched an idea for something that could end up in it.

BBC Parliament Rebrand/Reithed

BBI45 posted:
I agree with the other remarks here that the new graphics are a step up from the old set, and do suit the channel quite well. The only thing I would have changed is to put the Live and Subtitles tag in with the other graphics:

I think the live would look better the other side of the date.

BBC Parliament Rebrand/Reithed

The 'S' faded in a few seconds after a full 'subtitles' message had disappeared. This text had been on screen since the Northern Irish questions. Wonder why they changed it

ITV abandons the South Bank

And it would make sense to have ITV and ITN headquartered in the same place.

Why? They're two separate companies.

IIRC ITV owns 60% of ITN. They are also very interconnected. With ITN making ITV News and many other programmes.

Saturday Night Takeaway 2021

ITV clearly don't want the BBC logo to be shown during SNT Very Happy

Maybe they covered the one in the corridor because they are trying to get the public to associate TVC with ITV now, rather than the BBC. They use it in so much of their branding now (GMB, This Morning etc.)

The sound is dodgy

Understatement of the year. Give that man a medal.
Major sound levels improvement urgently needed next week.

It wasn't quite as bad as people on here are making out. It was a problem yes but not horrendous.

Saturday Night Takeaway 2021

They've covered the BBC logo in the corridor with what looks like a bin bag.

ITV abandons the South Bank

If ITV did take over full control of Grays Inn Road, could they add one or two more studios to the complex? There are only the two basement studios and the Channel 4 News studio based there at the moment. If ITV have some thought, possibly two more television studios could be created to give them a new London headquarters, much smaller than The London Studios, with still a headquarters as such. Just a thought.

Even just one more studio in that complex would be good.

And it would make sense to have ITV and ITN headquartered in the same place.

BBC Select to return as a brand

Jonny posted:
Bizarre.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/storefront/?contentType=subscription&contentId=bbcselect&benefitId=bbcselect#top

A senior level decision has been taken to deviate from the master brand for the launch of a new international commercial service.

Does this variation succeed on a technical level, where the 1997 logo would falter? *Maybe* the extra space between each block makes it slightly more legible at smaller sizes? I'm being kind there.

Aesthetically, it lacks the finesse of the 1997 logo while relying heavily on its equity, so it just looks like a knock off.

Really weird. As discussed at the start of the thread, either this is a taste of things to come or a failure of good brand management.

And in the age we live in, "playing around" with the master brand is not a sensible road to head down. I would immediately think "scam app" if I saw that in the app store, for example.

It's even in really low quality on the Amazon page.

ITV abandons the South Bank

I keep thinking that ITV and ITN would be better off buying Gray's Inn Road outright.

Then they could move all of their office staff under one roof and increase the branding on the outside of the building.

I think big 3D ITV and ITN logos would look lovely outside.
