BBC One christmas ident thread

Andrew posted:
We had a normal one at 10.10pm tonight as well "This is BBC1 in Yorkshire and the North Midlands, now the news at 10 o'clock with Fiona Bruce and Harry Gration"

And again at six this evening. It's great to see the regional versions again after Christmas Day. Last year they were gone after December 23.

Nice effort from Yorkshire last night at 10:40pm.

BBC North West Tonight

its me posted:
Terrible start to the programme tonight, clearly the intro to the programme and hedlines are recorded.

From the start of the titles on George and Sian' cue right through to the opening wide-shot, including Annabel's introduction, the headlines and the sting, the picture was shaking violently. Looked awful.

Why do they not do this live? What is the advantage of recording it?

Who presented the lunchtime news today, because I think Annabel said she would be back for the late show?

NWT is now getting like GR with all these "email us your thoughts" and competition rubbish.

Annabell said Carol will be back for the late news and Annabell presented lunchtime today.

BBC1 Ballet Ident

r2ro posted:
The last time I saw Ballet, prior to last night, was back on a Monday in October ahead of the ten o' clock news on BBC ONE Yorkshire but I can't remember what the headline was.
I was rather surprised that it was used ahead of MOTD, all though I thought that one of the 'news' idents (Acrobats, Capoeira, Skateboarders, Tai Chi) would have been used because they are more appropiate for serious programming and serious events.

I happened to record that night and the main headline was about a speech Michael Howard did about an election.
Although NE & and Cumbria takes no notice of the network and they have used it quite alot.
