It would be interesting to know why they (Ericsson?) can’t be as accurate as the Beeb/Red Bee. If it was just consistently wrong that would be enough!

They're both Red Bee, just different playout centres!

BBC News (UK) presentation - Reith launch onwards

I thought it was handled really well - both in giving the guest the opportunity to end if she needed to but also saying hello to the daughter. Sky had a similar interruption a little later and abruptly cut away.

The 'get well soon Tony Currie' thread

Scottish broadcasting stalwart, Ceefax music legend, and TV Forum regular Tony Currie is recovering in hospital at the moment after surviving an implausible number of heart attacks.

He's doing fine, given the circumstances, and has already been complaining on Facebook about the audio quality of hospital radio.

There's a short article in today's Sunday Post at https://www.sundaypost.com/fp/voice-of-bbc-scotland-tony-currie-salutes-hospital-team-for-saving-his-life/

I'm sure I'll not be alone here in wanting to wish you best wishes for a speedy recovery, Tony - and hope you're back in front of a microphone again soon.
