York had been one of the few areas that had a local TV service in analogue days, but that was based near Askham Bryan College rather than in these facilities.
It made Big Centre look like NBC at times, and seemed to be run on a non-existent budget (to the point where they were faking outtakes to sell to It'll Be Alright on the Night for pin money).
I may live to regret saying this, but the new lot should at least be technically superior.
