One that might interest Mr Garnett. Whilst on business last week I went from my current home in Edinburgh to Corby. I decided to watch 'Central News East' and to be honest, it was ridiculously poor.
A lack of decent news, an odd bloke doing sport in a disjointed way - I was more interested in watching the obviously 'non' live pictures of Nottingham in the background.
When you watch such pap, you do feel lucky to have Calendar to watch. It's 'newsy' has just the right balance of hard and soft items and a great presenting team. I feel sorry for the downgrading of Look 'Leeds'. It was never very well resourced, but at least when Harry and Judith presented it, it seemed professional. I've never liked Christa 'Doris' Ackroyd and the sad tale of it turning into a social programme must be a real bummer for Harry after he left for the RFL and then the South.
