To be honest I prefer Katie Derham as a newsreader than Mary Nightingale, as she always sounds like she's going to cry, plus Katie and Mark make a good team on the Evening News. Though I guess this isn't the first time that a popular national reader will go to regional news, such as Alastair Stewart (ITN to LNN) and Philip Hayton (Main BBC News to North West Tonight)
While we're on the topic of decent presenters for LNN - has anyone got any preferences about other 'regional' ITV presenters who perhaps should be making their way into the nationals? Always interesting to see if we can predict the next Nina Hossein or Karin Gianone.
