Channel 4 Rebrand

Comments like this annoy me for one reason: why would you want to limit creative thinking? Nothing posted in The Gallery is ever going to be in contention for something seen on screen. I'm sure things posted previously have been seen by certain people and may have inspired certain looks - but by pressing submit on a mock, you are not entering it to be the next Channel 4 logo.

Therefore, what relevancy does it have that the current Channel 4 logo "doesn't need changing"?
Personally, I see The Gallery as a space to allow creativity that UK TV on occasion lacks, to experiment, and to see if we can create something exciting, or build on our work.

Shutting down someone's design because someone once created something better strikes me as massively illogical.


I haven't shutted down anyone piece of work and I'm not discouraging anyone to do mocks, Mockah's logo is a good attempt, but it will be hard to replace something iconic such as the Channel 4 logo. Obviously I'm fully aware these are mocks.

There's some people on here that are more critical than me and don't offer constructive criticism to the mock makers nor any sense of encouragement or direction.
