Forgive me for wading in here; but the suggestion being made by Nick here is that the evidence suggests that each time a change is made to the site, it is followed by a break in service.
There is a continuing discussion in 'the other place' on this topic, and the commentary indicates a problem following each update.
Whoever is at "fault" (your own choice of word, Asa), the fact remains that it happens. At least according to my humble observations.
I think it might be easy to misunderstand Nick's comments as a "dig"; however I think it's a legitimate question to raise, which I wish to support Nick in asking.
The site being having down-time isn't, of course, the end of the world for anyone; it's just noteworthy when it happens.
