Meanwhile TV3 will make a brief appearance in the UK on Virgin Media channel 996 from 7-9pm on Sunday night where you can watch Ivan Yeates and Collete Fitzpatrick bring you all the news of the election results....only 46 hours after the polls close and four hours after RTE wraps up over twenty hours worth of coverage.

Hopefully when the results are mentioned on BBC News on Saturday Night they'll tell viewers to look away now if you're watching the highlights 24 hours later. Laughing

RIP Frank. You're were one of funniest actors around. We will miss you.

As great as he was in Father Ted, I do hope the media will take the opportunity to shed some light on just how much he'd done in his career. There'll be a lot of people out there who think of him as little more than the man who shouted "drenk" and "feck".

And in Father Ted, he had a job to do. I recall him saying that as the trained actor, co-staring with two comedians, he was basically mouthing the script when the camera wasn't on him, so they could look over if in lines trouble, to get help.

His biggest regret was that Linehan and Matthews never put his suggestion in a script for Jack to shout of "Garlic".

More 4 have changed their schedule tonight to show 4 episodes of Father Ted in tribute.

Of course it's not that much different to a normal Sunday evening in More 4! A nice tribute in the announcement beforehand though

Incidentally, Frank died on 28th Feb, the same day Dermot Morgan died 18 years previous.

Fascinating program on RTÉ One tonight about the 1916 rising as seen from the British side. The Enemy files, presented by Michael Portillo looked at the rising and the British response. Hopefully BBC Four have the sense to pick up this.
