Hi TV Forum,

Today I'm back with another music remake, not for BBC News but for Good Morning Britain. My ITV News music remake didn't go too well, but I've spent much longer on my Good Morning Britain remake so hopefully my work pays off Smile

Despite mostly everyone preferring Version 1 of the Good Morning Britain title music, I have recreated Version 2 (the current music). However, a remake of the GMB version 1 title music is in the works and coming soon.

Here is version 1 of my remake of the GMB title music version 2:

As with all of your music mocks, I'd like to see you really stick with just one and perfect it rather than whizzing off to another project.

You've clearly got the notes right, but it still sounds like a MIDI file with too much treble. Try and work on making it sound like a decent piece of music that could work on TV.

It's a good starting point.

The only issue I have are the first 3 notes. I think there's too much of a delay between them (Literally miliseconds). I'd like to see this develop though!

Yes the first two notes are quicker than in your mock. Probably the different between a semiquaver and a demisemiquaver.

Cheers, I've noticed that myself but they are very difficult to change since that is the shortest the notes can be in Garageband without entering 'time' mode which messes up the timings for the rest of the music. I'll have a look at how I can stop that from happening.

It's been years since I've used garageband. Can't you "zoom in" on the note selection to bring them closer or build them on another layer?

I'm zoomed in as far as it will zoom, but I'll try changing the mode

Couldn't fix the issue with the first 3 notes, but I have made many other improvements to the melody, chords and percussion in version 2.

Here it is:

Quite like it, especially the second version.

Why don't you try to add it to a video of an opening of GMB to see how it works with visuals, as its hard to picture it with the titles as it is.

Better than the first version, I think you need to make the notes ring on for longer

Just something I quickly threw together.
Used JamesTV 2nd theme and an upload from RandomStudios from a GMB 7am TOTH.

Hi TV Forum,

I have been working on my Good Morning Britain music remakes over the past few months and today I am posting 2 pieces of music.

Here is a new piece - version 1 of my remake of the original Good Morning Britain music from when the show launched in 2014:

Unfortunately, Garageband's Trumpet/Brass instrument selection isn't the best, so it is difficult to get some of the melody sounding right.

Here is a slightly updated piece - version 3 of my 2015 GMB music remake:
