A new interview show, previously on You Tube, Silicon Real, starts on 4th Jan at 7am. It features London entrepreneurs recorded in what looks like someone's flat. It's the only thing 'new' for 2016 so far .....

The quality as high as always and it doesn't exactly look like it's had a huge audience online. Most people who would watch that would already be at, or on the way to, work at that time and will presumable already seen them online. Great work there London Live. Whose bright idea was that? I found an old VHS of Live & Kicking in my loft the other day. Maybe I can sell that to LL - it has someone from London in the audience so that would count as local for them probably.

I also saw a promo today for 90's BBC drama 'House of Elliot' which starts at 7pm on Sunday 10th January. Certainly an eclectic line-up.

And more raiding of the C4 back catalogue with Adam and Joe starting next week.

Is the Adam and Joe London connection that they are from London and it was probably filmed there? I liked that show (when I was a student) but they really will show literally anything won't they as long as they get it cheap?

According to their original licence application, all acquired shows/movies would have a London connection. I remember their draft schedule including the movies My Beautiful Laundrette and Notting Hill!

Made in Cardiff has even managed to commission a six part series of Mockumentaries called Doghouse, aired across the Made network. No idea if it's any good but at least they're trying and producing new content in their locality, content which I'm sure if it is any good could be on sold either to other local franchises (though that market isn't really there yet) or more likely to other digital networks.

Of all the stations London Live should be able to generate new content with the most resale value as if they sell any London based show on to a digital network nobody is going to see it as a regional show. And on the flip side to that there are probably shows that have aired on the lesser digital channels they could buy in which would be much more relevent to the London audience of today than Adam and Joe and Desmonds.

Well it was set in their Brixton bedsit so I guess that's the connection.

Luke Blackall presented the breakfast edition of London Live News this morning. There are no other bulletins today. I'd have thought it would have been better to run a weekend service this week.

I would have thought so. But they haven't exactly run a decent or consistent service for the rest of the year so why start now? I guess most of the staff are off/at home updating their CVs.

I'm surprised that the weekend news service returns on Saturday.

The Radio Times obviously has a schedule drawn up before the changes to Kicks Off as they have Jason Cundy presenting next Monday, but the Freeview EPG has London Live News in that slot.
