]Just thought I'd throw this in here but Telemundo's (NBCU's Spanish language network) Jose Diaz-Balart anchored Nightly News Saturday night. Apparently he's added to the Saturday rotation now.
(Weekend editions come from their news nooks / insert studios so w full studio doesn't have to be crewed with camera technicians)
Jose Diaz-Balart anchors MSNBC Live with Jose Diaz Balart (in English) and Noticiero Telemundo (in Spanish) on weekdays. In addition he hosts Enfoque a Sunday morning public affairs show.
That's a wrap! We are all proud of our @jdbalart. #Imbilingual and we are on @Telemundo and on @NBCNews! pic.twitter.com/BD829AC29T

Yes - but probably mostly for being the building behind the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, rather than anything to do with NBC.
I beg to differ. It's one of the tallest buildings in New York, and is an iconic Art Deco building. It's home to an extensive transport hub and underground concourse, and the namesake of a critically acclaimed sitcom that ran for 6 years.
Since this is a thread about US Networks I have a question for you: Is 30 Rockefeller Plaza really world famous?

Plus the building is a tourist attraction where you can see all the other Manhattan skyscrapers.
Also it's a bit different from the ABC and CBS HQ's. CBS has an administrative tower "Black Rock" and the CBS Broadcast Center somewhere else in Manhattan that's 1,000,000 sq feet which I believe takes up an entire city block and is made up of interconnected buildings. Likewise ABC their iconic Time Square location used for Good Morning America - but isn't used for the rest of the day. Apparently ABC has to rent the space out from Disney (which is a bit confusing). ABC also has a large production block/headquarters near Central Park but the only thing touristy is the street side studio for their NY station, WABC, but it has no space for watching / interacting with the pedestrians. Essentially ABC and CBS are nondescript buildings.

Fair points - I was probably being a tad cynical! To the average person overseas, though, I'd still say Rockefeller Center is the famous location, rather than 30 Rock in its own right (in a similar way to Canary Wharf and One Canada Square in London).
But, at a bare minimum, there will undoubtedly be many people around the world who'll have visited the plaza and maybe Top of the Rock or the NBC studios tour.

Yes, it's world famous in terms of people around the world knowing what it is, but it's not a global icon. Not having visited NY, I wouldn't be able to point to the building on a map, and I don't think is be able to point it out from a selection of similarly styled buildings. The only times I've ever seen it are on screen grabs of their election coverage posted here.
On the other hand, times square and the empire state building I would describe as iconic, world famous locations.
Is any broadcaster's building truly world famous (lets say, identifiable by at least 33% of the developed world)? Even the ones I'm most familiar with I'd struggle to describe them as such. Even if you restrict it to the UK, I'd say we only really had two, both currently disused, and I doubt their relevance on a world scale.

I'd say 30 Rock is known by people who know about US TV, but not much by the wider population. It's not The Empire State building or The Statue of Liberty...
I'd say Radio City Music Hall, in the Rockefeller Centre I believe, is probably more widely known to non TV types than the NBC 30 Rockefeller location.

In perhaps the biggest bit of "Wow... OK... Random!" news to emerge from U.S. TV in a while, Richard Bacon is guest-co-anchoring both of ABC's overnight news programmes for the next couple of weeks.
Mystery anchor revealed. @richardpbacon from the UK is with us for the next couple weeks! Please… https://t.co/xWacdYBZGR

Blimey, that's an odd appointment. What kind of show is ABC's overnight news offering? Is it a serious show - or more like the networks' breakfast shows? I can't see Richard Bacon coping too well with a 'serious' news bulletin.

I wouldn't underestimate Richard Bacon, he can do serious breaking news as shown on 5 Live.
