That studio will suit the show better than the bland CNNI set. It's got that house/library look fit for politics show.

Looks cheap to me and crappy, IMO. I dont like it AT ALL. Looks like a jumbled mess. Not sure why they wont invest in a nice multiple purpose set in at CNN Center. One that easily be changed for what ever programme originates from it. THis mish-mash of old and new and brick and the boring skyline duratrans...ehhh. They spent money on the Weather Centre, but CNNI and CNN Centre continues to be, IMO, the red-headed stepchild and the workhorse that props up the sad and messy-looking content that comes outta CNNNY. Uhhh. How the mighty have fallen. Production wise. To me it feels, on air, like such a small operation when in reality its not. Sometimes the channel feels like a lumbering mess. Technology of course makes it unnecessary for them to be all under the same roof. Just feels weird.
Start at the 1Min mark.

Start at the 1:30 mark.

I still think when CNN NY moves from Columbus Circle....that may change and also whats at CNN Centre...

CNN is again using the McLaren Centre for a 30th Anniversary Special. I like the timelime that encircles the space.

I don't blame CNN for that so much as I would whoever that "translator" was on that feed source. But that's still absolutely hilarious.

Translator obviously fluent in **** then. That is what David Cameron speaks isn't it?

Well someone's got to translate the bullsh*t that comes out of his mouth.

Sounds like there was an interpretor translating Cameron into French, then another one translating that back into English- bizarre!

This happened most probably because the feed that CNN had was from France that was sending it to them with the voiceover of French on it. This meant a translater had to change it back to English

No expense gone to on the set for Political Mann, a CNNI show covering the 2016 Presidential Election race.

There's another shot where the camera swings round before the break that shows an empty space, and a bare desk on the other side of this 'set'. A decent little show though.

EDIT: And here's a cap - sorry for the poor quality telly pic:

CNN Centre looks crap. I would be shocked if CNN invested big money in a new large multipurpose set for Atlanta ever again. Studio 7 was probably the last big investment, which of course was redecorated and now used for HLN and partially for World Sport. They are probably saving those coins for whatever happens when CNN/Time Warner leaves TimeWarner Centre for their new digs in a few years. The domestic studio/newsroom shoebox is joke.
