or even Richard Whitmore.

I'm not sure I wouldn't prefer Richard Stilgoe.

Same lead story as last night ? This programme feels like it is attempting to create the news agenda rather than follow it.

Should be leading with MH17 in my opinion.

"...in the last week alone... er, the last FIVE weeks, that should read..." Dear me.

I've just noticed that they have a live output screen in the backdrop showing Tom's bobbing head. That's a nice touch to get it to look more like a functioning newsroom.

These links are unreal.

Seriously, who signed this off? I'm guessing they didn't test this with focus groups.

Obviously Geoff Hill is the Editor, but how muh is the programme driven by Alex Chandler since he's now back NaT as 'Programme Editor".

The links are awful and the air sucking before he speaks is just really annoying!

He needs hits with a wet fish. I hate his style I utterly deplore it. He need to cuts it out fast.

I am not liking the studio links at all after watching some of this now. Even the tribute to his former colleague who passed away earlier this evening was cringeworthy at the end of it.

The reports are done extremely well but I feel the studio presentation of them all is a big let down. It is not the same without Mark and Julie presenting at the helm that's for sure. The atmosphere in the studio does feel very limp when Tom is presenting on his own. As this is only a soft launch things can improve with Tom's delivery being a lot better when the new set and graphics will come along in the new year.

So from me the programme content wise but the delivery not so much at this point in time. But in time it will hopefully improve in the months ahead.

For a bulletin that is supposed to round up the events of the day, we have only had five stories reported on, the majority were general news items which would normally be regarded as filler and one was the top story from last night as well.

It doesn't serve its purpose, or indeed, the purpose as to why I want to watch a news bulletin at the end of the night.

Christ. They're even attempting to predict the news now.

Day two: very stilted and not as much lunch. Still don't fill fulfilled in terms of news.
