TFI Friday

TFI being a one-off series wouldn't be a bad thing to be honest. Does Top Gear usually air one or two series a year?

I think it's one that spans Christmas.

I doubt the series will be back after xmas.

The one off was a novelty so how the series does remains to be seen. It's being advertised already as coming soon but with Googlebox and Alan Carr in the 9pm and 10pm slots for the foreseeable future I guess it'll probably end up at 8pm - would be very surprised if they move Hollyoaks and The Simpsons for it.

Since this is apparently going to be the final series of TFI Friday before TFI Top Gear starts next year, I wouldn't expect many new ideas, if any, amongst rehashed versions of features from the original 1996-2000 series.

Seeing as Chris Evans has got a 3 year deal to do Top Gear, and apparently is not allowed to do any more TFI Friday ... if TG is a success, there'll be no more TFI Friday after the upcoming series. If Evans' version of TG fails and ends up being cancelled after 1 series, then I would hazard a guess that TFI Friday could return (again) in 2017.

Confirmed for 8pm, Friday 16th October.

Or if X Factor is off-air of he is fired, Nick Grimshaw could replace Chris for at least one series.

Because like all the other formulaic crap on Channel 4, it's a ratings banker.
