Good Morning Britain - 2015 Refresh/Tweaks

The first time i've seen these new graphics for Martin's Deals...

looks like they've starting using the darker backgrounds on the screens

It did look rather strange them using summer backgrounds in December last year, before finally changing to a wintery one.

Those graphics were neatly organised. But I don't understand why they couldn't curve the edges slightly on the standard boxes, it would look nicer.

It's also obvious ben is now doing 2 days a week with kate garraway doing the other three days alongside Susanna.
Piers would be better alongside Susanna than Kate.

Ranvir now takes priority over Charlotte as she presented alongside Kate this morning. Charlotte continued to be the newsreader today.

Has anyone actually thought that they (ITV bosses, and possibly Charlotte too!) would like the newsreader role to be stable after Charlotte's maternity leave? I know that I would care more about having a stable, familiar newsreader than two stable hosts and their fill-ins, simply for the fact that the viewer can at least trust the newsreader.

Charlotte was primary cover for Susanna before maternity - now she's 4th in the pecking order.

I'm just speculating, but I imagine being the main presenter requires more interview preparation & script writing - probably some of it at home the evening before. Given that she's got a more important job going on at home, perhaps it was her preference to stick to 'just' reading the news?

A weird bed just lead into the break.

...and an out of the break sting to accompany it. I'm guessing it's a new entertainment theme.

Didn't see the out of break sting as I'd left. The old entertainment bed was better IMO.

Not sure if it's been used before but certainly the first time I've seen it, a coming up wipe has been in use today.
