Here's WJZ-TV 4PM tease and show from 30/12/2014 and nothing has changed since then. WJZ-TV is the CBS owned & operated affiliate serving Baltimore, MD. If you've seen other CBS O&O stations you will seen that it's clear they don't follow their graphics and branding standardization and they seemed to go with the kitsch style. A commenter on this video mentioned that they've talked to someone from their CSD (creative services department) that said CBS doesn't really care about WJZ not following the standardization because they are a close #2 when it comes to traditional newscast times, the station is making a profit and that their audience research shows that viewers don't want change.

WMAR-TV is the Scripps owned ABC affiliate here in Baltimore. Traditionally since the turn of he century their newscasts have come in fourth place out of four news producing stations and the recession really hit them hard. But they are slowly getting their groove back with new faces. Unfortunately they don't have any weekend news and when there was a severe weather event or breaking news they weren't on air. Just this summer there have been a few tornados that hit our region. All the other stations interrupted their regular programs to carry weather information until the danger was over. Over the spring WMAR got a nice new set that shares elements of their sister stations and the video will show some cuts of their new studio.

The news on Slovenia's public service broadcaster RTV Slovenija is getting a new set, new graphics, and new music on August 31. It's broadcasting from a temporary set until then.

Will their Italian newscast get a new look, too?

Will their Italian newscast get a new look, too?

I doubt it. Their station in the town of Koper, which produces the Italian-language news, has always had a different look. Perhaps they'll go with a unified makeover this time around, but I'm not holding my breath.

MSNBC revamped their graphics today. Some elements remained the same like the bigger box of lower third. I don't care for the live bug and I wish they rotated it to show the show name full time. Currently the show name appears right after commercial break and they rotate back to the new MSNBC logo (it's now capitalized). Sorry for the crappy caps - I got them through MSNBC's TV Everywhere offering on my phone.

From 1978, the first edition of ABC's World News Tonight -- anchored from London, Chicago, and Washington:

And from 1976, this is what the previous incarnation of ABC's evening newscast looked like:

In November 2008, there was a strike at France Télévisions as lawmakers considered new legislation that would limit advertising on the public channels. The main news on France 2 came from the "strike studio" and was mostly dedicated to the strike and the upcoming changes to the company.

16 minutes into the broadcast, there's a report from London about "the prestigious BBC" which is a bit interesting.

1. The entire bulletins of Vesti on Russia 1 from some particular day:

Title sequence for national bulletins looks very American, but no Americans have came up with such epic and spectacular intro yet. (By the way, does anyone know when this look debuted?)

2. I remember some Indonesian station's news bulletin used theme music stolen from Russia's NTV. (It was aparent that they looped some portion of Segonya 's title tune for headline bed, even though the real Segodnya has the genuine bed.) How can I make NTV aware of that so they can prepare some... lawsuit?

By the way, I miss German Rudnev. He knows everything about Russian television.
