Im getting pretty fed up with ITV reliant on Harry Pottor films. Is there nothing else ITV can put?

If you do one, you've got to do all eight.

It just reminds me of the Bond films, except it's something I enjoy watching.

Doing all eight twice a year is far too excessive though, and they don't even rate that well. It's quite a big ask too to get people to watch three hour films week after week - they'd probably do a bit better if they aired once a month.

ITV have clearly given up completely for the summer now at the weekends - not even bothered commissioning their obligatory summer flop.

Talking of which one of their better summer shows of recent years - Penn & Tellers Fool Us - got a rerun on the CW in the US last year and is now getting a second series with new episodes starting on Monday.

Probably why they haven't bothered commissioning their summer flop - mind you they've already used the budget up on the 'Super Saturdays' idea. Bound to be some stuff in the can alongside Potter like It'll Be Alright on the Night 145, hour long You've Been Framed Summer Specials, Stephen Mulhern's Animals Do The Funniest Things (and repeat). Wouldn't be surprised if The Nation's Greatest ABBA Songs or something like it got another run.

Still, I guess there's lots of talking-head clip shows coming up for their 60th in September even if they're relying on the tired yet "revamped" X Factor again.

Well they've got 'Flockstars' the celebrity sheep herding contest coming up?

You couldn't make it up. A gift of a name as well for when it crashes.

Indeed, literally thought it was a joke at first. http://www.itv.com/presscentre/press-packs/flockstars The former Corrie queen will probably be Julie Goodyear, R&B princess.. Jamelia. Surprised Gabby Logan is presenting it, it's got Paddy McGuinness written all over it.

Is there any old format they won't bring back as a celebrity version?

If you look at what ITV have lined up for the rest of the summer, the Harry Potter films look like a treat. Nothing worth watching, Flockstars, BBQ Champ and endless documentaries. No drama or entertainment lined up. So what is the point of ITV?

Well that probably explains why they haven't commissioned a summer series, there are only some many times every single one they do flops before they stop doing them, and that seems to have happened this year. The fact that BBC1 have done a summer show (Prized Apart) which has also flopped reinforces this decision.

Of course when you say "weekends" you mean Saturday's, as Sunday's has all new programming all night and the biggest drama of the week at the moment.

And when Black Work finishes on Sunday there does not appear to be any new dramas planned until September

That's the same as last year when outside the soaps they didn't show a single new drama between June and September. Amazing considering how much drama has been pivotal to ITV's success over the years.
