You'd expect there to have been a fairly major commissioning drive for midweek now they've lost the Champions League football but can't say I've seen anything of note. Will be a wasted opportunity if they just use the same sort of filler they use every other non-football week which rates so badly. Agree Tuesday 8pm is arguably the most crucial slot to fill - if they can get something rating there that opens up the 9pm slot once again.

If the rumour about ITV gaining Clarkson & Co is true, maybe ITV should look at placing the programme on a Tuesday night. No point in having the programme go up against Top Gear surely? ITV is generally fairly strong on a Sunday after all...

Well they can reclaim Tuesday night and actually run drama series there again at 9pm. Something they couldn't really do before due to CL games every 2 to 3 weeks interrupting the flow.

Well, you'd think, but between 2009 and 2012 they had the Champions League on Wednesdays instead and Tuesdays were still hopeless.

If itv had not axed the bill how would it hold up now on Tuesday nights at 8pm against holby ? Surly rate better than anything outside of footy or Britain's got talent has formany years?
Itv lacks the 8pm family hour long dramas BBC has holby and call the midwife and Dr who etc itv has???? With all these added production companies they've brought hope the drama budget is boosted soon!

Midwife and Who both air on weekends - and most Doctor Who episodes are 45 minutes.

What studio does Surprise Surprise come from? It looks like Studio 1 at The London Studios, but at the same time is laid out much different to usual, with the catwalk style layout with audience seating on both sides.

I believe it to be studio 1 and in a similar way to Mr & Mrs they split the seating to both sides of the studio and utilise the mid section.
I'm not sure if it's been changed this series but I never understood why they sat audience behind the sofa screen as some would not be able to see anything.

Yes it's studio 1 in TLS as if you watch last Sunday's (Father's Day) you can see the ITV Reem font with 1, 2 and 3 with arrows on different walls indicating the studios and then they walk into studio 1s direction

Ive been to a recording and definitely studio one. Recordings last forever - they film multiple episodes at once so Holly changes dress ebery five minutes practically.

Im getting pretty fed up with ITV reliant on Harry Pottor films. Is there nothing else ITV can put?
