This is a nice touch

Do they still have a Puffin's Pla(i)ce section on the channel anymore?

Do they still do Time Temp & Tide? Or have Channel Sport at 6:15 on Mondays?

I believe TTT is intergrated within the weather forecasts these days.

Victoria seems to be back on Spotlight!

I spy Mosart automation in that trail, Jupiter editing, and I think a Calrec sound desk, Shotoku remote heads and what look like Sony HSC-300 triax cameras (red cable = triax).

I suspect they are going with as similar kit as possible to NBH to keep maintenance, spares and training costs down, and to get decent procurement framework deals?

Great to see Victoria make a return... and the set looks fabulous!

Shame it's not Teresa Driscoll returning mind!

The set looks fantastic - the large curved screens behind the desk make the view behind the presenters look much more realistic as the screens are quite tall. To me the views are nowhere near as nice looking or convincing with the plasma screens that seem to be in the more recent regional sets, particularly in wide shots, and even more so in sets like Midlands Today where half of the background even on tighter shots is of the lightboxes.

To me it's actually a little reminiscent of the 2004-2010ish set which also had a fairly large (and low) window view.

As for Victoria Graham - the last I saw of her was on Arise News (where former/obscure news faces always seem to end up appearing - think Gavin Ramjaun!) and before that some reporting and occasional presenting for BBC London News. I'm surprised to see her back, but perhaps viewer research/feedback has suggested she was a popular presenter..?

Very very strange internal politics going on me thinks!

WOW . . . the new set looks fab, and well worth the 16 month wait. Thumbs up Thumbs up

Are the screens behind the main presentation desk large LED screens (like NBH Studio C/B2), or just a lightboxes? It would be a shame if they were lightboxes, as that would look odd in Winter.

Great to see Victoria Graham making a return, but a shame if Natalie is going as a main presenter.

That floor finally looks 'luverrrly' and flat! Very Happy

Certainly a much improved set, although the random return of Victoria Graham strikes me as being odd.
