The launch of That's Manchester has been handled very poorly. I only found out about it yesterday from a friend who is working for them tonight helping produce their shows. There has been absolutely no publicity about it locally, not to mention the EPG is currently showing 'Coming Soon' rather than the programme that is currently on air, which will hardly encourage people to tune in.
Manchester is probably going to be a lot like how Oxford was launched. Low key, enough to keep Ofcom happy with That's Television employees talking about "teething troubles" and "give us a chance"
I do wonder if That's TV have taken on too many licences with not enough resources or funds?
Going by an Instagram video by That's Manchester presenter Gemma Hepworth, they've gone for a London Live style brick backdrop, rather than the Fruit Shoots purple used by Solent and Oxford.
Ok dude straighten your tie! UGH. Sorry thats a little peeve i hate. It drives me crazy. No one looks in a mirror before going on air? No one behind the camera notices this stuff? Also whats with the proverbial glass of water? So silly and unnecessary and simply doenst need to be in vision. Is he expected to start choking any moment. And why doesnt he have the lap top to his left open instead of centre desk seemingly closed on his hands, or at least it appears that way. I feel bad because I think that ThatsTv has overextended themselves. (Hate the names of these channels.)
