Good Morning Britain

I want to first apologise, but I have been working on a whole project for Good Morning Britain for absolutely ages; from Graphics to the studio. After seeing HarryBNF's attempt at a fusion of GMB and Sky I had a lot of inspiration for my graphics, and the Studio has been a working progress for about two to three months on and off.

Please if you're fed up, leave now. Otherwise I hope you enjoy this project.

I would like to ask that if you like this mock, that you rate it. If you don't feel free to rate it, but PLEASE give me some feedback. I really want to work on this mock to make it even better, and as I'm sure you'll remember (and if not the threads are above as proof) I always take constructive advise on and work on it quickly!!

As the studio is still incomplete I will attach all the pictures in the spoiler below, for the record. Although once complete (some point next week) I will upload images in full.

Text is far far too small.

Someones a little obsessed it seems.

Far more interesting than the Sky News reworkings - as AxG said the text on the main astons is far too small but the design is nice enough.

Everything is tiny. I am struggling to read the ticker text, and temperature on the weather bug. The clock under the logo looks nice, probably the best thing in the whole mock. Your version of the logo looks crap, and the studio feels very American local news. I don't really like it, although I suppose it's not too bad.

You need to use the proper logo, make everything bigger, and I'd also say brighten the studio a bit. You've made an OK start on the studio, but the graphics need a rethink.

As promised, I have quickly had a look and tried making the fonts bigger, without it being too big and looking cranky! I have always made mocks with fonts that are perhaps slightly too small, so this is probably still an issue. I will continue working on it, however I think this is a vast improvement!









[also be aware that there are black lines around pictures now to prove that the safe areas are correct, being as the bottom of the screen in white and matches the background of the thread.]

These graphics are very simple and standard, not really much to say about them. The font does need changing though to something less boxy and condensed.

If you're trying to link your graphics with your studio design. You should put the images of the sketchup studio behind your graphics instead rather then an image of the presenters with the current studio design.

I'd like to see how these graphics would animate, can never really judge straps before seeing their animation.

It's not a bad try. The font needs changing. Replace the logo with the current one. Remove the ticker from the left hand side of the logo. The clock is far too wide. The weather bug is too small. Try re-thinking the graphics then animating them.

The studio is probably the best bit. The sides of the studio are great. However, the desk and sofa don't really work. The sofa is an odd shape and the desk should be bigger.

My rating is 2/5. Would be 3 if the graphics were animated.

The text on the first lot is way too tiny.

Would be really grateful if you could give comments on the most recent work submitted. I corrected the font size and would be grateful to know if it is better, or still needs increasing.

Also some help would be very much gratefully received regarding the font used. Looking on a couple of websites I haven't found anything very promising, especially since I like the font I'm already using. Feel free to PM any links or names or examples of fonts I should be looking at.

Your text is still far too small. It might look fine on a PC monitor a few inches from your face, but it'll be hardly readable on a normal TV on the other side of the room even in HD, let alone SD.

What kind of fonts are you after?

ASO, perhaps something more rounded, and similar to the ITV reem font perhaps? I actually really like the font I'm currently using!!
