My only issue with the new design is that the programmes have lost what little identity they had.

I disagree, Sunrise has at last got its own title card, something that's been missing for years.

My point is that all of the programmes have the same white/blue title card, and it makes it all very generic.

Yes, just like BBC News Channel and ITV News regional programmes. Maybe it's a brand initiative?

Even if the straps were blue on Sunrise, Ian King Live and Sky News tonight it would be nice

It's weird to have the blue title card, and the blue strap at the start then return to red.

Of course. The BBC (conveniently forgetting Newsnight and Marr and Sunday Politics) and ITV have the same titles for everything, so Sky MUST follow suit.

Sky used to be the leader in news presentation, now it's the trailer.

So obviously Sky need to copy them. No need to be different in any way whatsoever. Rolling Eyes

I see they're still giving prominence to an interviewee's title rather than their name. That's never sat easy with me.

To Sky News, what you are and what you do, seems to be more important than who you are.

Classic newespaper (tabloid?) writing style though. "Mother of three, Jane Smith, said..." "Hospital Consultant, Professor John Smith, announced"

They are different though? They have a unique TOTH sequence.

Personally, I'd go one step further and drop the website promo at the TOTH, as that looks poor and introduce a more dynamic soundtrack, something they've not had since 2010.
