Amanda Piper with a CSO setup and pan regional weekend bulletin today - changes afoot perhaps? or just routine maintenance?

Turns out they were having power problems.
Came from Millbank in the end.
Sat in an empty dark news gallery with a small flickering bulb powered by a tiny generator. It's how I imagine telly was made in 1920!

Spotted SET reporter Charlie Rose presenting the Breakfast heads this morning. Is this his first time?

No he has appeared regularly since the end of last year. SET Breakfast bulletins seem to have no continuity in terms of presenter!

BBC South's Editor retired after yesterdays program and messages and clips were shown at the end of the program, they had put a most horrific looking BBC News pixelated box on it that just looked horrendous.
It had bad quality archive videos too, which too shows up in this image.
However the VT had a 'goodbye' from Reham Khan as well as Look North's Harry & Amy.

On tonights SET Natalie Graham was flying solo - wonder if it was last minute sickness or trying something new....or should that be old! Cough Laurie Mayer. Cough. I wouldn't mind seeing Ian Palmer having a go on the main programme alongside Polly or Natalie.

The main presenters were at the RTS Southern Awards on Friday.

Good move, he's been excellent anchoring at CI.

A report about Ed Miliband appearing on a news report back in 1991.

They've added a strap for copyright to ITV News Meridian but of course in 1991 it would have been TVS's Coast to Coast. Guessing ITV own all the previous franchises news archives?

I've just watched that interview with 'Ted', and it appeared that the protest was held in Oxford, so I'd have thought it'd be from the Central South archive, which I guess is now Meridian's. As far as I know TVS's news archives do belong to ITV.
