Good Morning Britain - 2015 Refresh/Tweaks

Watching that does make me remember how good the programme/channel was, but I can't work out why? It wasn't too heavy on the news, they didn't draft in big names but they did have a very good mix covering what was needed and entertaining the nation. They had the pop bands to entertain the children, they had the celebrities and life stories. Eamonn and Fiona were brilliant together without a doubt and at the time I don't think I realised.

ITV has just broadcast a GMB post election promo. Individual presenters as per previous page but on a white background, before revealling all in a row.

I'm always slightly dubious when someone posts saying how the programme was good on any one occasion, but looking at it online it does appear they've covered the top stories relatively well over the past few days.

Also, looking online made me notice just how much they now rely on the sofa - they seem to do the top story at the desk but then quickly run to the sofa for pretty much everything else. They used that performance-type area with the tall screens behind them once for a Martin Lewis feature, and on Monday they had the newsreader do an explainer from one of the screens, but otherwise it's certainly settled back into a very-GMTV format, and a far cry from the four presenter team they had a year ago.

I suppose that GMB V.1's USP was that it had a busy, family like feel! It was actually something different!

GMB V.2 just feels like any old ITV morning show.

Day one of GMB was still my favourite. It needs to be brought back. The graphics, the desk, the music, the 4 presenters, the wipes, that BREAKING NEWS sting! They all need to be brought back.

There is nothing wrong with it; the way it is done sums up the kind of reaction as no-one knows how this election will pan out
